  1. Does not look great in Philly that is for sure. But west of there the models are pulling the rug a bit as to flooding concerns.
  2. Disappointing East trends on almost all the 12Z's. After days of trending better, the rug gets pulled a bit.
  3. I just went out and watered half my yard to take advantage of the clouds. 12Z bring almost nothing this far west now.
  4. Latest HRRR suggests the real action will be this evening through part of Sat. This first wave does not push that far in to PA. The wave for tonight into Saturday is still down in the far SE. Could be a dreary day some of tomorrow on the East side of the board.
  5. Some models did a good job pointing out the Fri rain threat...5 days ago. GFS was way off base.
  6. 59 for the low, 63 right now. Rain advancing on the LSV to my East.
  7. The Sox are the toast of the league right now. But still think the O's kick in eventually. Not sure what to make of the Yanks. Watching Volpe lose a run by jogging home on a final out force really made me question the team.
  8. I was once told the fight scene from the movie Escape from New York was just random footage of Kurt Russell trying to get a Yoohoo drink at an Orlando Area Circle K (outside the Disney bubble.)
  9. It is not that their hot days are any hotter than our hot days, it is that they are ALL hot days for ~ 6 months. The humidity there is worse than here because even our worst is their best. It is like living in a jail for 6 months.
  10. Stay out of the Convenience stores! Some of the scariest places in the US....Florida Wawa's, especially Orlando.
  11. What you experienced was exceedingly rare. Here is last August in Orlando. The one day it did not hit 90, it made 89 (until end of month 85). They had a rare 100 day.
  12. In Ocala we once had over 100 days in a row where it reached 90. Between May and October it stays below 90 less than 10 days on average. Over half those days get to 95 but never to 100.
  13. Many make a living of going from one AC to another. The other 4-6 months are mostly fantastic though.
  14. Central Florida is very far from the Ocean. There is no relief there. It is worse there almost every day for 5-6 months vs. any day here. 98/80 is commonplace.
  15. It is fairly common for homes in Florida to be out of power for 2-4 weeks after a Hurricane. Temps are 95-98 and HI is 115-125.
  16. That may propel this into the summer version of Jan 2000 all over again.
  17. High today of 77. Down to 75 already. Sweet, sweet below average high summer days. Double digit below.
  18. DFW record setting 100+ year. Basically 2 whole months. And somehow that great city of NBA Champion Contenders still gets snow. Lot's of Klay down in those parts.
