I would agree with this sentiment. With the HIA keeping the lows up it is going to be hard to get months where the highs average 82 when it is 68-70 to start a lot of mornings. Would need a persistent NW (dry) flow.

The Am HRRR's had MDT looking at 87 at noon....more recent have lowered it to 84 and 84 may be a tad too high with them still at 82 at 11:50.

For today. the HRRR has the LSV and upper MA as the only place in the 90's over the entire Eastern 1/3 or 1/4 of the Eastern US.

Yea, sometimes I feel like Friday is more like the weekend than Sunday. Good idea you came up with even if the event itself does not allow time for thinking about Monday. When you are in Florida, Sunday's will not be as bad!

Sounds like maybe it is a good way to end the weekend vs. feeling down. Lot's of people get down on Sunday evening.

3K and Rgem have the Tue high at MDT sitting at 80.

Hi of 86 so far here. Looks like MDT is going to ring up the infamous in the 90's but Below Normal day as they appear to be at 90-91. The heat index at MDT is 87 with the temp at 90.

79 at noon. Mdt 87. Cxy only 84.

HRRR keeps us in play tomorrow...especially south of MDT.

Today is the first day MDT's normal high drops from 87 to 86 as the downward trend starts. MDT's low was a sweet 61 meaning they need to reach 93 today or they will add their surprisingly high 12th BN day of the month. HRRR does not have them reaching 90 but I would not bet any money on that. 3K has quite a few cells tomorrow.

I do see it here. It is a glorious day especially out of the sun. 83 for the high.

On the other side of the coin, including 2024 through yesterday, 4 of the last 5 years have been the 4 hottest years in MDT history. Whether HIA or CC, that is pretty indisputable that the temps around concrete jungle areas like MDT and WPT are being elevated in some manner.
