384 map. All the rain in the Blue for S Central PA is hope and pray showers. Seems maybe 1.5" or less is a better way to say it when I look at it closeup Either way a disaster. -
Not really for us. Mostly east of the Susq. Euro shows basically no rain (other than anecdotal stuff) West of the Susq out to just before South Western PA for over a week from today. GFS shows us getting a inch or less of rain through July 25th.

Yea you have had more rain in the last several days than I have had in many months. LOL. Still only between 2 and 3" since the start of May. Definitely one of the most severe droughts I have ever been part of. Only thing worse was in Florida.

All the Meso's destroy that Western PA rain before it has a chance to get to the middle and eastern parts of the state.

Sun just broke out for the first time. Up to 84. Trying to get to 90 :-). Not sure MDT gets there though still being at 80.

The entire Susquehanna Valley as well as points West to near State College and Altoona remain socked in. A threat to the string of 90+ days.

Euro starting to back away from the extreme heat next week for the LSV...going more with the GFS route of clouds and an eventual coastal like storm spins up late week. Still some 90's on the Euro but not mid to upper every day like the last time I looked.

Some people also have their mower deck set too low. Scalps the grass and makes it look beat up even in the best of times.

Only positive is it helps the environment and saves gas money. Need that ridge to move out. Evening thundershowers are not going to fix that.

Boy was I wrong. We had two heat waves last year. My memory was a cool summer but it hit 90 30 times at MDT.

I bet MDT did not hit 90 a total of 10 times combined last year.

Yea. I think the best bet is to take your own measurements and record those vs. worry about the airport.

Surprise thunderstorms coming for the LSV ...probably most for northern and eastern areas.

Your post sounds similar to @Blizzard of 93 who thinks the MDT airport measurements are very often wrong. I think most of us on the Eastern half of the state at least verified today if not over achieved. Forecast high at MDT was 98 as of now but I think it was set lower this AM and it is 96 right now.

I remember some day in the 70's or 80's it approached 110 in York where I was at the point. Think it made 106 or 107.

94 here. Not thinking we get to 100. Gfs Poo-Poo's the heat wave a bit next week. Euro says chance of 100 in LSV every day. And precip wise the GFS and Euro are opposite as well. GFS with 2-3" of rain the next 7 days in the LSV. Euro almost nothing.
