  1. No crickets (critters) in the winter which sucks and what makes firepits in the Fall better. I still BBQ in the winter which I plan on doing tomorrow... 16F / DP -6....everything I touch I get zapped.
  2. I'm getting to the point where I enjoy Fall more so than Winter. Fall guarantees: -Colder/less humid coming off Summer -Bugs/Gnats die...but more mellow crickets/windows cracked to fall asleep -Shorter days -Firepit season -Leaves change colors -Less Allergies -Possible Hurricane/Tropical storm slams us Winter Guarantees: (for the most part) -Getting screwed...follow models for 5 days and end up with squat/waste time -Blow torch at some point -Snowless Christmas/holiday season -Pingers then rain -Weenies come out in full force -Days start to get longer 16F
  3. Down to 10F but snow to rain tomorrow evening...go figure.
  4. Hard to believe Ch6/Cecily still going w/this for the 6pm news. Ch10 is similar...
  5. GFS kicking us when we're down. Temps dropping like a rock/winds...down to freezing.
  6. We never really had a rug to begin with...maybe a drop cloth which is sad. Temps starting to drop. Down to 37F from low 40s not that long ago. Thinking 12-14F for tonight's low which would be lowest of the season...
  7. Maybe counting on the initial thump...my expectations are pretty low at 1-2" of snow then whatever falls. 42F/Gusty
  8. For sure...Birds running game is better. And Brady's throws may wobble all over the place in the wind...
  9. Ch6 at noon accumulation map. May be a little high as warm air seems eager to rush in fast/early... 44F/Windy
  10. Part of it is sincere and part it's the trendy thing to say. (closet weenies) Pred: Start time 6-7pm as snow 10pm: Pingers invade maybe some freezing rain 11pm-12am: Changes to all rain Total Accumulation: 1-2" 39F/ Winds starting to pick up
  11. DT first guess...a 30-50 mile move east would make a huge difference.
  12. We avoided the catastrophic drought as well... Interesting weather for the Birds on Sunday in TB. T-storms and trashcan blowing winds:
  13. This thing must be truckin. Last I heard (yesterday?) start time was mid evening or so... Balmy 47F
  14. A Birds playoff game at 1pm then some sort of winter weather at night along w/additional playoff games is a win-win event even if it eventually changes to rain...still some time for east movement off the coast. 44F
  15. For my area, I'm just taking it (guessing) as a couple inches then some sort of changeover heading into Monday. No shot I'm wasting my time intensely following model after model before later Fri/early Sat...it'll drive one nuts. 28F
  16. 18F. Not much temp range today from a low of 15F to 21F (or 22F?) Jim's last night anchoring the 11pm news....
  17. Euro's going to screw with us...hope not but that's how he rolls.
  18. Been outside for a bit, 18F w/some gust at 11am. Not bad and it definitely clears out your lungs and any sort of congestion...you can breathe 10x better.
  19. I remember 5 day forecast with highs in the teens/low 20s and that wasn't super rare. A 5 day forecast w/a single digit high or two is rare... 23F/Winds gusting a bit
  20. If your moving around outside in the cold it's not bad at all. Tomorrow's high around 20F is manageable...I remember times shoveling w/temps in the 20s, sweating and removing a layer of clothing. The wind and spray would be a different beast but I'd rather have that than in a office cubicle w/co workers cranking the heat to 80F...ugghh. 23F
