Finally getting the Loudon-Fairfax-DC-MoCo superband! Big flakes and best rates of the storm. Picked up around 520pm while I was shoveling/snowblowing. Driveway covered again. Measured 0.2" on the snowboard at 5pm for a storm total of 6.1". I'm sure there's more than another 0.2" already in the last 20 minutes.

Just can't get the heavies here. Been light tiny needle flakes stuff for the last hour or so. Accumulating, but slowly.

1.7” since 5am. 5.9” storm total. Snow depth just above 5”

Biggest flakes of the storm. Big fluffy flakes slowly falling.

Looks like Loudon-Fairfax-MoCo jackpot zone so far. Expect that will shift S and E with afternoon action.

To a point, the ULL approaching is what helps generate the coastal low, but also pulls some moisture back off the ocean.

12z 3k NAM agrees well with latest HRRRRR runs. Precip fills back in quickly in the next few hours, heaviest precipitation near sunset. Focus S and E of DC.
