  1. Did not fall into the 40’s last night, surprisingly. ISP hit 48, I hit 50. Yesterday both hit 49.
  2. Strange, but it matches the airport obs so yours is probably more accurate.
  3. 63/36 right now. High was 67, low was 49. Lowest dews since the first half of May, DP hit 33 today.
  4. 49 for the low this morning, currently 58. 51 degrees with a strong breeze at 4 AM felt like 25 degrees to my summer acclimated self. Too early for this.
  5. First time seeing blue skies in 5 days, the smoke appears to be largely gone.
  6. 53 this morning, a shock to the system. High of 79 yesterday, would’ve been in the 80’s if not for the smoke.
  7. Looked like that here a few hours ago, my initial thought was smoke, but since it was somewhat cloudy earlier I wasn’t sure. Sky here is blue right now though.
  8. NYC, LI’s south shore, and the jersey shore are one of the warmest spots on the east coast right now north of the Outer Banks. Low of 61 here, currently 74. 83/59 yesterday.
  9. Almost identical here, 88/71 today, 80/68 yesterday.
  10. 85/67 here. I can take this all year round.
  11. I’d normally start feeling depressed around this time, but that was before September was upgraded to an official summer month.
  12. Have we ever seen a major hurricane stay in one spot for as long as this one has? This is basically Dorian right now:
  13. My only ice storm memory is of the Jan 1999 ice storm in the DC area, it was serious, the landscape looked very alien, all trees and power lines sagged in ways I’d never seen (and still haven't seen again), I recall one power line encased in thick ice dangling right in front of the window just a few feet away. This event was also my earliest weather memory.
  14. I hit 105 in Queens, highest temperature I’ve ever experienced. Newark (and maybe LGA) is definitely going to hit 110 one of these days. Old Bridge, NJ hit 110 back in 1936.
  15. I felt it, I thought I was off balance initially but I noticed clothes hangers swaying back and forth. Swaying not nearly as noticeable as the 2011 quake, that was enough to wake me up out of my sleep.
  16. The sheer amount of green leaves left is astonishing. The landscape is still 50%+ green in many spots and we’re in the second half of November.
  17. I super-hate early sunsets, we’re too far east in this time zone. It’d be nice if we could keep Eastern Daylight Time year round, but the U.S. government doesn’t allow year round DST, only opting out of DST. Making the switch to Atlantic Standard Time year round would solve that problem, multiple New England states have recently proposed switching.
  18. It feels like I haven’t looked at a radar since Maria made landfall in PR. I couldn’t even remember where the RadarScope app was located on my phone’s home screen.
  19. I’m legitimately cold. It’d be nice if the sun came out.
  20. So weird seeing people riding jet skis in October.
  21. The universe is certainly making up for that lackluster spring and summer. I’m not mad at all.
  22. Am I the only one that hit 90 yesterday before everything went downhill? I noticed some wunderground stations did as well, however it's still strange.
