Anyone care to share some Bills game advice for tomorrow?
This will be my first in person game in many years, and my 2 daughters 11 and 13 are coming for their first game.
I think we will be dressed warm enough.
We are staying downtown next to Canalside.
I'm thinking of leaving the hotel at 1800, which should have us pulling in to Orchard Park by 6:30.
I am going to come in on Big Tree Road from the west. We are entering the stadium through Gate 1.
Are there good places to park coming in from that direction or should I just stick with the Bills stadium lots? I was thinking Lot 1.
We don't mind a few minutes extra walking.
Is my timing right or should we be arriving in OP earlier?
Any and all suggestions appreciated.

It’s been interesting to see an area of much lower accumulations right over my house (western Delaware County) on many of the runs. Go 25 miles East or West and it looks much better. Remarkable consistency, really, for how far away the event still is. Unfortunate, but remarkable.
I’m north of you in that same snow hole.
When I first saw it 3 days ago I had no concerns, and figured it would probably shift east within a run or two.
Now I’m concerned. The persistence is really remarkable, run after run.

Eh, I don't know. The Euro, GFS, Canadian, and now Ukie all have Wester NY as the jackpot.
Just where we want it 3 days out.
I think your area, from Syracuse east to 81 and down to BGM is the jackpot.
I may have a dry slot issue here in Otsego but not the snow hole currently depicted.

New England constantly refers to a benchmark track being optimal for them.
The benchmark for my part of central NY is right up the Jersey coast and over LawnGuyland. Almost exactly what’s being modeled now for this storm.
We take!

Thanks Steve really appreciate that info.
I'm thinking the frozen Falls and a stop at the aquarium up there would be a nice Sunday.
I love the Science Museum too but the kids are getting too teenaged for it to be cool!

Cool! Where is that?
Just south of Boonville in Alder Creek (southern Tug Hill plateau).

Amazing place. Abundant snowfall, no user fee, well maintained trails. Sort of a mystery how it's funded.
There are several areas to it. We ski the Egypt Road trails the most.

Could change but there really isn't any snow there right now.
They didn't get much and then the warmup melted what was left.
The parks in the clarence/akron area have snow still, I took the dogs for a hike at Tillman Wildlife Preserve Sunday and there were XC skiers. We got a solid2-3" last night on top of what was left over from the lake effect.
Thanks I’ll check those areas out.

Buffalo area crew any intel you can share on the snowpack situation around Chestnut Ridge park?
We are coming out for a long weekend sports doubleheader. Bills Saturday night and Sabres Monday afternoon.
I was thinking of taking the kids sledding and/or XC skiing there on Sunday.
Is there any snow?
Any other suggestions for a family with 3 young teen daughters appreciated.
We are already planning skating and curling Sunday morning at Canalside.

We’ve been better running the ball as of late. Singletary and Allen.
This, and the offensive line has improved their play. Perhaps out of sheer embarrassment by their performance in the middle of the season.

Huntsville Al with 6”!!!
That's great, Otsego County losing to Huntsville Alabama in the Golden Snowball contest in January.

In other news, how 'bout those Giants? Thank Odin that the Detroit Lions still exist as almost inarguably the worst NFL franchise. I never thought I'd see the bad ol' days of the 1960s-70's again with this franchise but here we are.
We must be about the same age.
I can never let my buddy the Giants fan forget about the Miracle at the Meadowlands.
I just have to say "Pisarcik hands off to Csonka" and it gets ugly!

Euro jumped on the Cutter train with RAIN across the entire Northeast this weekend (and a liiiiittle ice in the boonies of Maine.) Just ugly.
With each successive run giving us less and less snow for next week, do we end up punting even farther into January?
I have a feeling we're just going to keep on going with the pattern we've been stuck in. Strung out junk waves and mild air. This really seems like our base-state for winters now.
Part of me is actually rooting for a big, massive cutter up through the Central Great Lakes to hopefully shake things up. In reality, we haven't had one for weeks and weeks...and we need a change.
This is usually what it takes to shake the pattern up and get us some snow.
It's painful but it pays off in the end.
These weak sheared out systems and frontal passages we are having now just won't do it.

Yep I got banned for the last week because someone didn’t agree with my posts on transgenders decimating woman’s sports in our banter thread…
Welcome back.
We haven't always agreed about things but I enjoy this forum because people are respectful and remain good natured even in disagreement.

Who needs models and maps to forecast the weather on Christmas?
Here's the forecast for the next 20 Christmases: Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain showers. High of 45.
Verification:
Christmas Day
Rain, mainly before 5pm. High near 41. South wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
(OK I busted a few degrees high on temps).

Sorry to hear. Also heard that there are no games between US based teams and teams based in Canada until further notice. The league is going to have its work cut out for it to rearrange the schedule...unless there comes a point where they can't play all 82 and have to settle for another shortened season. If the league doesn't shut down for the Olympics, they might have an extra couple of weeks to play with where games can be made up.
I can’t see the NHL players wanting to go to China.
Hopefully this new wave quiets down a little here and they can use that time to catch up on games.
