Anyone with an interest in our economy should give this a read.  Really breaks down what the crazy housing market is currently up and it's not pretty.

His writing style is not my favorite.  It seems like he just throws a bunch of *stuff* against the wall looking to see what sticks.

I'm not even sure the data he presents always supports his conclusions.

I'd take the other side of a trade against this guy given the opportunity.

Sunday a deep mid level trough will cross the eastern Great Lakes,
eventually closing off into a progressive closed low moving from
eastern NY late Sunday into New England Sunday night. At the
surface, weak low pressure will move from Ohio tonight east across
Pennsylvania Sunday before moving off the southern New England coast
Sunday night and yielding to secondary cyclogenesis well off the
east coast. Abundant moisture and large scale forcing with the mid
level trough and surface low will produce periods of mostly
light rain and wet snow across the region Sunday.

The most concentrated area of rain and wet snow is likely to focus
across Central NY and southern portions of the eastern Lake Ontario
region from late morning through the afternoon Sunday where DPVA and
frontogenesis will focus just downstream of the closing off mid
level low. Higher precipitation rates and associated evaporative
cooling and cooling the column from melting processes may force a
change to all wet snow for a few hours in the middle of this band of
precipitation. Farther west, chilly northwest flow will also produce
an area of upslope enhanced precipitation along the Chautauqua Ridge
    Sunday.

As far as snow accumulations go, the higher terrain of the
Chautauqua Ridge and Boston Hills may see 1-2" of slushy
accumulation. The Tug Hill may see 2-3" of accumulation. Most lower
elevations will see little or no accumulation where temperatures
will be several degrees warmer. The one exception may be from
eastern Wayne to Oswego counties where precipitation rates may force
a chance to all snow and suppress surface temperatures to allow for
a coating to an inch of slush.

Nothing says "spring" in upstate NY like a couple of inches of slush....

They deserved to win last night, was a great game. Anderson was pretty bad in the shootout, he needs to poke check when they come in slow like that.

I think that's where his age shows.  He looked really slow on that goal.  I don't know if coming out aggressively and poke checking is in his bag of tricks, and it is probably too late to add it.

Stinks it took them this deep into the season to get some rhythm and chemistry flowing.  Lots of good young talent in the lurks really hope they can pull together a better start next season. It has been nice the games have been at least interesting to watch lately.

Another solid effort from the Sabres last night.

They had a great month of March.  Look at the teams they beat.

They played at least as well as the Jets last night, who are a low end playoff team.

I think that's what the Sabres are right now:  Competitive as a low end playoff team.

Of course they aren't getting in this year because of the first half of the season.  But I have big hopes for next year.

I grew up a few blocks from here and we had shootings nearly every weekend all summer. @Blue Moon this is what I meant the other day.

My wife grew up in the hills of Eden. When we were dating I took her to my old home and there were 20 police cars on grant street with 3 bodies laying on the ground. She never seen anything like it. Safe to say we moved to Hamburg instead of the city lol.

The old saying rings true:  Out in the country we look up and startle when we hear sirens but don't do much when we hear gunshots.

In the city they ignore sirens but pay careful attention to gunshots.

I will say it’s much better then it was in the mid/late 90s. It was terrible back then.

Looking at it further, I thought it was on the west side, but looks like east side. Grew up near west ferry, but the other side closer to grant street.

My wife and I lived in Amherst and worked in Buffalo at the VA, ECMC, and RPCI in the late nineties.

    It was a dangerous sh**hole.

When we left, if you told me we would be bringing our kids for long weekends and staying in downtown Buffalo 20 years later I would have laughed at you.

But here we are doing it.  It's so much better than it was back then but it's still not perfect.

Starting in Oahu for a few days and then heading to the big island. Aiming to try for Maui but her and I are used to SE Asia, so feels weird somewhat throwing a budget out the window haha. Thats why we picked Hawaii for honeymoon because she loves it, ive never been and its not a place we would go to often because of the price.

Canada got rid of entry covid tests starting April 1st for land border and air, US has it gone for land border but still requires it for air travel so we have to go to shoppers (Canadian version of CVS haha) soon to get our rapid tests for the flight. You guys have been ahead of us on loosening restrictions so its a bit weird to see us get ahead of you guys on that

We were in a similar situation.

My wife really wanted to go, I was sort of "meh" and wanted to go canoe the Boundary Waters for our honeymoon.

She was definitely right.  Hawaii is spectacular.  We also paddled the NaPali coast so everyone was happy.

The Big Island is great too.

Crazy goal just now against Hawks. Sabres were down 4-0 and came back to win it

I couldn't believe it when I saw it this morning.

I went to bed after the first period. They were down 3-0.

I figured after 5 consecutive OT games, and a back to back road game, this just wasn't going to be their night.

Amazing.  What a change of character for this team.  Bye bye Jack we don't miss you at all.

I hope but seems extremely risky. We have little to no DB depth if Tre isn't 100%. Virtually assures we go DB at pick 25. WR is very deep this draft. Hoping we get Chandler Jones at a decent price. Von Miller would be great too.

Corner is a really hard position for a first year player, even a first rounder, to play well as a rookie.

We have some tough QBs to face next year……

At that price I would have kept Levi.  Oh well.

  10. Yesterday made me realize how grey and gloomy central NY can be.

We went skiing at Plattekill.  The clouds lifted out by 11.  It was a beautiful bluebird day.

    The skiing was great too.

We got home to central Otsego county.  My dark blue Subaru parked in a completely open area was still snow covered, as was our back walkway with direct southern sun exposure.

Both had the inch or so that had fallen the night before.

It's pretty obvious there was little or no sun here yesterday.

If I can't have snow I want sun!
