A high end severe weather event is possible with damaging wind and large hail. Warm fronts are always dangerous in these environments as they provide a source for enhanced low level shear so a tornado or two is also possible. The CAMs indicate that discrete storms may eventually evolve into multicellular line segments. For interior elevated SNE there should be almost continued snowpack. Well let me rephrase that. There used to be that. But in this new climate it is becoming impossible to accomplish. As the mid Atlantic climate has made it to the pike region now. There also should be plenty of ice and ice storms

Snowcover is brutal too. I can’t pinpoint one reason why the area is so bad, it’s just a combination of things. Not to say they can’t get a good storm there , because they certainly can and have.

It’s an awful awful area for snow. They get screwed every way possible whether it’s proximity to ocean , downsloping or sucker holed. They avg in the mid 30’s or so. It’s actually a medium sized city
