Appreciate the positivity and play by play, but this NAM run is pretty ugly.
We dryslot while Indiana is getting it good with the coastal. My weenie guess is that probably won’t verify. I’ll stick with the Euro.

Hey gang, I’m not going to have time to put the spreadsheet together as I talked about earlier in the week. Just for fun we could guess the total snowfall and qpf for MDT and I’ll keep track of that. Respond to this post with your guess. Cut off for submission is midnight tonight. Qpf will be used for tie breaker if needed
14.2”
1.18 qpf
21”
1.7 qpf

This is clearly the most likely solution.

Total beat down on the GFS

Just a little 300 mile south shift vs. 0Z on the CMC.

What a cutoff. This is going to be an agonizing storm.
Like 75 miles between 20 and 2. Less than ideal!

If you're north of US 22 on that run, enjoy the sunshine.
narrow band that brings the goods. Euro was similar in that it doesn’t have an expansive precip shield. Heartache for someone.

As I eagerly await the GFS to refresh and rapidly toggle the previous runs...wondering if this is borderline unhealthy for frozen liquid.

I’ll just take the 12Z Icon and ignore the rest of the models
It’s actually a tick Nwest from it’s previous run. Too bad it sucks. Onto the GFS!

if the CMC and Euro could meet in the middle
Would look something like the GFS actually

if the CMC and Euro could meet in the middle

just east of Cape May at 96 so...yeah
-
ok, the south thing can stop now.
-
not sure the GFS is going to join any south trend this run. Slightly north low compared to 12Z and slightly higher heights in front at 60.

You got the VA people scared.
Snow is serious business!

At 132 the low is just south of long island. The GFS spent 36 hours just randomly placing L's in the Atlantic.
-
LOL. Just play the GFS surface map from hour 96 on. I'm thinking the GFS is still trying to figure this one out.
