  1. I was just commenting to my wife how this is like an early September eveining. COC
  2. I've mowed every week--this year and last (our two summers here). Today is the first time I've watered established lawn. I don't want any creep of the browning area.
  3. I didn't realized you moved--congratulations!
  4. Had some sprinkles here as well. That's a few more sprinkles than we got last night.
  5. While it might be dry, it's a fantastic day out there. 80/53
  6. We're heading to NYC this next weekend for a final hurrah before my daughter goes off to college. Might be a bit mild down there.
  7. Debating whether to mow the lawn. Until this week it had maintained full green. There's now a little brown mixed in. It's funny how while dryness tends to hurt your regular grass, weeds and crabgrass seem to do just fine with it. Edit: I did mow it.......actually had grown really tall in large areas. I bought a sprinkler so I'll water the areas that were tinging brown.
  8. We won't wind up with much, but the sound of the rain coming down outside is great.
  9. I'm really hoping for at least a little rain today. I'm not holding my breath though.
  10. Scored a little over an inch at Pit2. Zilch here in Westborough.
  11. Where's Kevin hiding? He must be relishing the mild conditions.
  12. Haven’t spent any time in Bristol—thanks for rec. great pic too.
  13. Just got back to Pit1. 91* in my shaded yard, per my Accurite and Oregon Scientific. The car was reading 103* as I drove through Methuen. Horrible. Scorcha at Pit 2--went up to 86*. Full-on COC 10 miles away though.
  14. COC on the beaches. 86* at mi casa.
  15. Looks like a warm one coming up. Progged high of 84*. Up to 65 now off a low of 63.
  16. The highest I caught on the drive up was 99 somewhere near Methuen, I think.
  17. Just pulled into Pit2. 77–the way life is supposed to be.
  18. Glad I'll be at Pit2 in the mid-80's.
  19. Don't get me wrong--I see it marking the changes all year long. That said, August is a lot closer to fall than Christmas is to spring.
  20. Just bought some milk with the expiration date Aug. 3. In the midst of a mild-up, the clock still ticks toward fall.
