NAM was def out to lunch for our area. Euro/Ukmet lead the way in these parts
-
Considering the track of the storm I would say it was a bit unexpected but when certain guidance refused to budge on its output it did raise some red flags. Upton as well most Mets had our area getting 3-5” followed by rain. Definite overperformer.

Agreed.. I’m not even thinking 5-7” Imby and I’m directly N of Sussex in western Orange. 5-7” seems much more likely for Monticello

I think areas in Sullivan might squeak out 4-5” but that’s a stretch

If we can get the mid level lows to redevelop sooner it might change the outcome otherwise it’s a wrap

With this setup areas just west of the higher peaks will get shadowed. Every model is showing it. Eastern side of the Shawangunk ridge up through green county in the Catskills should do well.

Decent front end thump is all relative. I’m more concerned about mid level temps than surface temps. This has ip/zr written all over it. As it stands right now everyone east of BGM is in danger of taint

I’m in western Orange County and I’m not expecting much white. This looks primarily like a heavy rain event for anyone within 100 miles of the coast. If you have 500, 700, 850 going west of your location don’t expect much.
