    That dry slot in NYC is hideous. Makes me wonder if I should just get some sleep now and pray it fills in in a few hours.

    Looks like sleet is pushing into the Ridgefield area now. But oddly enough I’m still all snow, the sleet has been mostly moving north but not east.

    F*** that band is the heaviest I’ve seen today yet it’s moving through so quickly. South of me looks rather paltry at the moment too.

    Just noticed I got some fat flakes mixed in here. Usually a sign of a changeover but CC looks good.

    Thanks guys! Saw sleet was making it into Greenwich Stamford etc but somehow it was washing out in suffolk, thereby allowing it to be snow. Now I know who to thank.

    It’s all snow here in Milford. It looks like it’s almost a west to east orientation with the sleet, sleet looks to be about in the Norwalk area right now.

    Looks like a lot of that is sleet per CC. Got to hope it washes out.

    Not in love with what’s to the south of me. Snow hole and then what could be sleet after that.

    Ya I noticed TT had it as all sleet and was rather surprised by that, the soundings looked fine.

    Radar should fill in once the storm stalls and starts moving east. Till then it will be patchy.

    Might be some sleet in Greenwich per CC. Unlike most storms it’s actually random patches of sleet that eventually wash away. Odd storm.

    2 inches OTG with moderate snow, about to get heavy per radar.

    Based on what I can see at the moment on radar the dry slot near philly is going towards NNJ not us.

    23F. Looks like the first legit heavy band is about to come over me.

    Yep that’s what I was saying. It’s scattered and gets washed away. NAM hinted at this, getting some of these splotches all the way up to the Hudson valley.

    Temp went from 27.5 to 23.5 after it started snowing. That dew point of 3 came in handy. Snow now picking up in intensity at that big time band inches closer.

    Lake effect isn’t real snow though..

    You can see it quite well on CC. There looks like a warm younger extending from east PA and into Jersey. Could wash away eventually. But the sleet risk is there until the north movement stops and it starts turning east, bringing in a more northerly flow.
