  1. 37.6 F. Down ~3 degrees last hour. Probably 80% snow right now. Flakes are bigger than half dollars. Starting to really stick. About 2 hours earlier than I expected yesterday.
  2. 40.1 F here on my hill in south Nashua. Just pouring with giant snow globs mixing in.
  3. The temperature sure didn't feel like snow today.....but the sky had the look.
  4. From my blog around noon. I should probably find a topographical map so I actually know where the hills are.
  5. Don't own a Genny....thinking about cranking the house to 80 tomorrow morning though.
  6. Is there a general rule of thumb for the amount of heavy, wet snow required to start bringing tree limbs down? I was thinking somewhere in the ballpark of 4" or so and then you start thinking about it......thoughts?
  7. All about the flip. After the 00z model suite I was expecting it around noon here. A flip around that time gives us a shot at double digits. Of course.....this is going to be one of those systems where when you measure "by the book" you got 10" but when you shovel at the end it looks like 3"
  8. Well it was nice knowing you all. Will connect back in in a month once the power grid is restored.
  9. Oh snap! 12z Euro is a degree or two cooler aloft at 850 & 925. That would help.
  10. Everyone complaining about the Euro. If KORH receives >0.10" of QPF from this storm, then all complaints should be directed at the GFS which legitimately has 0.05" for the weekend at ORH. Time will tell which one sucks!
  11. Keep up this trend and this thing will whiff. Salvage a decent weekend.
  12. Back in the day when they used to wait until the morning of to cancel school. Went to bed that night expecting to wake up to pounding snow and a day off from school. Only to find the air and ground devoid of snow.
  13. After 20 years of great to amazing quarterback play, watching Newton play QB hurts my brain. He's so bad. It's like having 15 KUs in 20 years and then ratters for a decade. (I know KUs don't make a season, but they certainly help).
  14. Once you all realize that it doesn't snow anymore. You will all be much happier. Like the Patriots, we had a good run for a couple decades. Sure it'll snow occasionally just like the Pats will win a few games, but it's over for a while. Get used to it. (grabs bottle of whiskey at 9am).
  15. Here in the Merrimack wind hole there's only 1 direction that gives sig-winds and it ain't southeast.
