  1. Here's hoping that the nor'easter takes down all the leaves so we don't have to rake into Dewcember.
  2. Guidance battle: American v the world. First of the season. Let's do this.
  3. We never killed the bugs as I kill a mosquito in the house. Gonna make it into November at this point.
  4. Honestly not much of a season here. Trees are either way past peek or green. The best color is actually in the bushes.
  5. Mowed my leaves and pine needles last night. Mushroom game still strong.
  6. I think we should stop focusing on the people. How about companies pay workers a wage that is worth working for?
  7. Cue a 10/31 rain to snow event that porks us for the winter.
  8. Looks slightly below average in SNE?
  9. Luke Combs, Eric Church are probably the two country artists where I can listen to their entire song history. Other artists have a couple to a few songs here and there that I really like. I don't have children, but this song by Elvis Shane, recently released to the radio, brings a tear to my eye for some reason.
  10. Classic example of NIMBY - Not In My BackYard
  11. I mean climo argues that this should be the case.....you'd have to look at % of normal to determine if was a "S of the pike" or "N of the pike" winter.
  12. Onshore wind all weekend? Not sure about the amount of sun we see, but at least looks mainly dry.
  13. Monday isn't a weekend day anyways. (well at least for me)
  14. No. One of my oaks is shedding leaves already. Only one in yard.
  15. First two bags of leaves filled for the fall season
  16. China pledged to being carbon neutral by 2060. So coal should be going away anyways.
  17. Yeah I don't think tornadoes are part of the physical risk analysis. Cyclones, floods, etc. are though.
  18. Can you provide the report this is from? This is connected to the Task Force for Climate Related Disclosure (TCFD). TCFD defines climate-related risk as either Physical or Transitional. For physical risk, physical risk can either be defined as acute or chronic. Acute being weather as we know it, but with the increased ferocity of weather events that is expected to be realized as the climate changes. Chronic being connected to rising sea levels, changes in precipitation patterns, etc. Transitional risk centers around identify those financial investments that may ultimately be stranded as the economy transitions from high- to low-carbon intensive. TCFD is designed to assist financial institution with also identifying opportunities for sound financial investment in changing economy.
  19. I mean honestly...as long as you don't end up as the regional minimum....you shouldn't be mad.
  20. I mean.. the storm isn't even a threat to Bermuda.
  21. Taking quite a while to get the chill out of the house this morning. Quite crisp.
  22. Incredibly frustrating round last night. First hole: tee shot way right into wrong fairway. Fortunately stuck my wedge over the trees to 8 ft and made birdie. Second hole: hit tee shot even further right into a pond on adjacent hole. Scrambled to make bogey. Third hole: thinned tee shot from 135 ten yards long. Flopped over a bunker to 5 feet and missed the putt. Fourth hole: three putted from 15 feet for bogey. Nearly broke toe by slamming putter head into it. Fifth hole (difficult par 3): stuck my tee shot to 10 feet (first time hitting green all year) and made the putt. Sixth hole: topped my fairway bunker shot. Wedged to 15 feet and promptly three putted for bogey. Seventh hole: birdie putt left 1" short Either hole: standard par Ninth hole: standard par +2 37 with 2 birdies, 3 pars, 4 bogeys and 1 nearly broken toe.
