  1. I'm going to stick with 2-3 inches for most of our area and perhaps a half inch to an inch of sleet on top for ideal sledding.
  2. The other short range NAM suite members do look better for snow in WNC.
  3. Nope. I definitely don't envy the NWS. If the GFS and Euro come in with mostly snowy solutions surely they consider the NAM an outlier?
  4. Foothills areas get a couple inches of sleet if the NAM is correct.
  5. NAM has snow/mix coming in earlier for you all. As early as 8 am
  6. Surely the NAM will be a little better this run?
  7. HRRR is a big hit for WNC foothills and mountains. Lots of moisture
  8. Doesn't seem like lack of moisture will be a huge issue. Sleet could be, especially south of 40. I think those nestled up to the Blue Ridge could stay snow but who knows.
  9. This is what the last HRRR said. It's not as amped as the NAM either. New run should be interesting
  10. Got down to 13 this morning. Ground is frozen solid. Every flake will stick!
  11. GSP always loves the NAM. To be fair it has gotten warm noses right when every other model showed snow. I remember back in 2013 with the upper low, it was the first model to show rain this far north instead of heavy wet snow. I think it's a bit too amped this storm and hopefully it will shift a bit south starting at 12Z.
  12. GFS looks fine. More mixing than Euro but it's nowhere near the NAM
