  1. I’ll sell her mine, so I can get a new one.
  2. Welcome! Plattsburgh hasn’t been represented here before. Will be nice to have obs from the other side of the CPV. Seems like it’s colder over there than at BTV. 3.5” as of 8:00 pm. Measured on top of the car and the deck.
  3. Been snowing since 1:30-2:00 or so. Not sure how much is out there yet as we have been in a car dealership all afternoon. State plow truck just went by though. Maybe 1.5” on the parked cars?
  4. If Organizing Low still lives in St. Albans he might be in the jackpot.
  5. Why don’t I get the text messages? It must be some setting I’m missing on my iPhone.
  6. ...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON THROUGHTUESDAY AFTERNOON * WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 8 with locally higher amounts possible. * WHERE...Portions of central, northeast and northwest Vermont, and the Adirondacks of northern New York. * WHEN...From Monday afternoon through Tuesday afternoon.
  7. This is somewhat impressive for this early in November, MPV went below 32f at 4:00 pm on the 7th and hasn’t been above since. Currently 20f.
  8. So now I have my regular fear of the rubber band snapping back and giving us a crappy rest of the cold season piled on top of my fear that there is no possible way we can get 2 winters in a row with snow cover that starts before November 15th and goes all the way. I’m too neurotic And nervous to enjoy this.
  9. Looks like about 1” here. 21f on the car thermo when I left. Ugh, can’t get the ruler photo right side up.
  10. Was just going to post this. Great news Me too
  11. About .75” here. Going to be some black ice in the morning.
  12. Lol. Too late to turn back now!
  13. Anecdotal but quite a bit of white visible on Killington this afternoon as we drove south on 89. Looks like they've been blowing full force.
  14. I don’t ski but would turn up for some apres action. A mini NNE get together.
  15. The great flood of 1927 was right around this time of year too https://www.weather.gov/media/btv/events/1927Flood.pdf
  16. Very windy here. I was just up at a meeting next to the KMPV ASOS, which appears to be off-line at the moment, and the wind was blowing open the lobby doors of the building we were at. When we left we drove through a very brief shower of what I assume was graupel/half melted hail?
  17. I try to keep the heat off until 11/1 too but I had a cold and was shivering to beat the band and had to break down to get warm. It's off again now.
  18. I don't need that many HP. The non-turbo would be plenty for me. I think that's 90hp. My Jag has a 4 stroke 1100 and it works fine for me. The addition of a turbo packs a lot of stuff into a small space under the cowl.
  19. That big black trailer out front was tricked out with just about everything, as it should be for that amount of $$. I have a 12' hybrid that I like a lot but would like a 3-4 place one. That way my wife could ride more than just from home. I'm always sort of in the market for a sled upgrade. Never a brand new one but for a good deal if I think it makes sense. I'm kicking myself a little over the deal I missed out on in Epping. A dealer had a 2014 900 ACE with 5400 miles on it for $5K. Had just been serviced. I wasn't ready and didn't have a trailer with me to bring it home. I think that would have been a great option for me. Those ACE motors are bullet proof. My wife and son both have 600 ACEs that are great. Oh well, looks like I'm with my 2007 Arctic Cat for another year.
  20. I didn't even see any above that, only above the treeline on Mt. Washington. I think PF said the snowline was around 2500' on Mansfield so I was basing my hopes on that.
  21. I saw those lights. I don'y have a heated shield or else I would have bought one. I really liked the $20,000 trailer outside, pretty sure my wife wouldn't have appreciated the 2nd mortgage I would have had to take out to pay for it though. lol
  22. My shift started at 2:00 and went to closing. Too bad I missed you. I always like that show. It's just the right size for me. Not so big that you get overwhelmed but big enough to be interesting.
  23. Lol. Sounds like you’re still in Nashville!
  24. I was hoping to see some on the Kanc today but it was not to be. I think the top of that road is 2800’. It was mid 40’s up there. Mt. Washington was pretty well cloaked above tree line but that was the only snow we saw.
  25. Drove through the Whites on Rt.2 on my way to Augusta, ME. Cold drizzle until we got to Gorham. Coldest temps were in Groton, VT, 38 on the car thermo. 40 through the Whites and 46 here in Augusta. Mountains were cloud topped so we didn’t see any snow up high.
