  1. I was in Williston with my son, we went in to Best Buy a little after 5:00 and it was snowing when we came out at 5:30. About 1.5” already here at my place. A little more than I expected this soon.
  2. Nice summation JSpin. November has been a damn wintry month. BTV has been pretty steady with the 4” call for MPV and I’m good with that.
  3. Drove through your area taking the scenic route to the outlets in Tilton. I can confirm not a cloud in the sky. Pretty big waves on Newfound Lake with the wind.
  4. JSpin’s hood seems to be the line of demarcation for this event. Just made a Costco run up to Colchester. Left around 12:30, not long after the snow had started here. Roads got covered quickly and almost thought of abandoning the trip but I knew there wouldn’t be much going on as we got closer to the CPV. By the time we got to the Waterbury exit, there was nothing on the road at all and nothing was falling from the sky in Williston, Burlington or Colchester. Same thing in reverse on the way home. Looks like 3” or so of wet, heavy snow and the roads are pretty slick.
  5. Nothing happening here. Looks like there was a little freezing rain overnight as the cars look like there is a glaze on them.
  6. Sad day for winter sports lovers https://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/2019/11/21/end-jake-burton-was-smart-unflagging-champion-snowboarding/kdCQF7zWR9hq5rcRQiUzpJ/story.html?outputType=amp&event=event12
  7. Gorgeous day here. Bluebird skies and 37° feels great
  8. After baking under that pig ridge all summer in Nashville, 34° and rain/snow should feel refreshing.
  9. My greatest fear is the December 1989/January 1990 duet. -17.3 in December 1989 at BTV to +11.8 in January 1990. The high temp for the month of December was 41 on the 12/31. I am always in fear of the rubber band snap back. https://www.weather.gov/media/btv/events/Dec1989.pdf
  10. Mommy, daddy is yelling "F**king BOS!" again. I'm scared.
  11. BTV's snowfall wrap up from the storm
  12. It's 4" of man snow for sure. That is an armor coating for the slopes

  14. We had a really thick crust this morning but it was all back to snow by the time I left for work around 6:45. Glad I was forced to put my winter tires on a few weeks early. We just bought a new car yesterday and they are going to put winters on before we pick it up and it may be next week before we get it.
  15. Nice. I have a friend who lives on Cumberland Head. Beautiful area
  16. I’ll sell her mine, so I can get a new one.
  17. Welcome! Plattsburgh hasn’t been represented here before. Will be nice to have obs from the other side of the CPV. Seems like it’s colder over there than at BTV. 3.5” as of 8:00 pm. Measured on top of the car and the deck.
  18. Been snowing since 1:30-2:00 or so. Not sure how much is out there yet as we have been in a car dealership all afternoon. State plow truck just went by though. Maybe 1.5” on the parked cars?
  19. If Organizing Low still lives in St. Albans he might be in the jackpot.
  20. Why don’t I get the text messages? It must be some setting I’m missing on my iPhone.
  21. ...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON THROUGHTUESDAY AFTERNOON * WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 8 with locally higher amounts possible. * WHERE...Portions of central, northeast and northwest Vermont, and the Adirondacks of northern New York. * WHEN...From Monday afternoon through Tuesday afternoon.
  22. This is somewhat impressive for this early in November, MPV went below 32f at 4:00 pm on the 7th and hasn’t been above since. Currently 20f.
  23. So now I have my regular fear of the rubber band snapping back and giving us a crappy rest of the cold season piled on top of my fear that there is no possible way we can get 2 winters in a row with snow cover that starts before November 15th and goes all the way. I’m too neurotic And nervous to enjoy this.
  24. Looks like about 1” here. 21f on the car thermo when I left. Ugh, can’t get the ruler photo right side up.
