  1. Welcome, for the weekend at least. I work in downtown Montpelier. Hopefully we get a little snow so you can do some outdoor activities. As PF said, tho use Kuchera maps are generally just for entertainment purposes only.
  2. BTV mets are snow weenies. From this morning's discussion "vertically stacked near the Gulf of Maine. Among the deterministic guidance, quite a spread in snowfall amounts exists therefore it`s still to early to talk totals...however, seeing as it IS January in New England, it feels good to have a potential snowstorm to talk about in the forecast (rejoice!)."
  3. Happy birthday. The last sentence makes me want to cry.
  4. Not quite as much over here, maybe 2.5”-3” over the last couple of days. I did have the joy of being on the road home when the first squall came through. I’d say visibility down to less the a quarter mile at times.
  5. I’m 44.15N. A little south of PF and JSpin.
  6. Just got back to the office. 89 was crap, getting slushy. The car thermo read 31° and was down to 27° on the way back. It was ok if you drove reasonably and shockingly, everyone seemed to be doing that.
  7. Driving back from S. Burlington, hopefully 89 hasn't gotten any worse.
  8. There are some similarities. I’ve had snow in my back yard starting around Veteran’s Day both years. Both years it got reduced to the point where a more diligent observer would question whether it should still be considered “coverage”. The difference is that this year it hasn’t been replenished as quickly. This is all anecdotal since I’m the slacker weather guy, especially compared to my NNE neighbors PF and JSpin. They could expound further but it’s not all that dissimilar yet, though not exactly the same either.
  9. Same here. I actually wondered if was heavy time on the cars
  10. Got the squall warning too. Drive through some heavy snow around exit 6. Visibility down to 1/2-3/4 mile for a time and the roads started to get pretty covered. No wind to speak of though. Didn’t seem like a true squall though. About an inch or so of accumulation at home.
  11. Don’t be so sad. You were begging for rain and 40’s all summer!
  12. Since you have already killed winter with your sled purchase, then obviously I should just go ahead and get a new one too. Might as well get it during an already killed winter rather than risk killing it myself next season! My wife will be thrilled when I tell I have to get a new one this year.
  13. Boy, you have just been a ray of sunshine lately!
  14. Nothing at all down here. I was expecting a little rain/mix.
  15. That snow machine even got over this way. It snowed for most of the morning and stayed cloudy just about all day. Not as much as you guys got but wintry appeal ruled the day.
  16. Nice. Is the same one that you had done on your own before? Looks like a nice upgrade. Maybe some of those plastic privacy slats or some artificial hedge braid like this https://www.kohls.com/product/prd-2541094/national-tree-company-instablock-artificial-hedge-fence-braid.jsp?skuid=27725474&ci_mcc=ci&utm_campaign=DECOR&utm_medium=CSE&utm_source=google&utm_product=27725474&CID=shopping15&utm_campaignid=174293612&pid=googleadwords_int&af_channel=CSE&gclid=CjwKCAiA8qLvBRAbEiwAE_ZzPRlGr1bfrV9bg2PRkfNbcgreT3LmCByPZ3SRJBodv9fp8lI_KgVmDhoC_4AQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
  17. Looks like the blocked flow let up a bit. Noticeable snow has started here in downtown MPV in the last few minutes. Small flakes and the roads are getting covered.
  18. Think they get 31" this time?
  19. That radar makes the spine look like an absolute wall lol. Of course for the most part its is this morning. A very light dusting on the car this morning and just a stray flurry here and there on the way in to work.
  20. Hope everything is ok Gene. At least you are at a top notch facility.
  21. I was pretty surprised. Went to bed to a few flurries, woke up around 3:30 and it looked like the car had been coated but nothing surprising and then woke up to plows going by. Stepped out on the deck that had been cleanly shoveled and poked the tape measure into 4". My colleague who lives in Elmore said Rt. 12 through Worcester Woods was clear until just outside Montpelier. Pretty localized I guess.
  22. Had 4" on the deck this morning. There was less here at work in Montpelier and a colleague coming in from the Morrisville area said there was reall nothing until she got to just outside Montpelier. I was sort of surprised. It wasn't snowing when I went to bed at 11:00, the forecast didn't call for anything and everything indicated that the storm was starting to crank further east. A little bit of a positive bust for my back yard.
