  1. Based on this winter, I will predict we waste the heavy precip as non-snow
  2. Towson- heard the first pingers and then in less than a minute it's almost all sleet
  3. Straight freezing rain on top of the sleet coating in Towson Jacking the heat up, charging all the devices and making an extra pot of coffee, just in case the power goes out
  4. Getting NAM’ed sure ain’t what it used to be
  5. The JFX Pepsi sign claims another victim. Northbound 83 shutdown and a parking lot all the way back to downtown No ice though. This happens every time there’s a drop of rain in Baltimore
  6. Cold mist in Towson. Ran errands and didn’t need to use the windshield wipers
  7. Pouring fatties in Towson. Might be the heaviest I’ve seen in a couple years. Hopefully we can end this Baltimore drought
  8. Weren’t you calling for 12 or 18” last weekend?
  9. Just lost the last patch of blue sky to the northeast in Towson Nothing doing yet
  10. They were both 4:30 kickoffs. I was at the 04 game - 100-year-old Gary Anderson made a 46-yard FG with 30 second left to lift the Titans to a 20-17 win. I swear it ticked off the crossbar as it went in. If it had been a degree colder, he never would have been able to kick it that far. It got a little chillier as the game went on but never got below mid-50s. News Flash: Mark Ingram back at practice today
  11. Rain looking less and less likely until after the game ends Saturday. Any thoughts on wind? I don't think it will be that strong but am a little worried. Lamar definitely plays better in good weather. Unlike Flacco who was as impervious to cold and wind as he was to every other external stimulus. Here's a crazy fact I've uncovered: this will be the third time the Ravens have hosted a playoff game with kickoff temps in the 60s. 1/3/04 and 1/13/07 - both kickoff temp of 63, both Saturday games, both losses. What are the odds that of the 7 home playoff games the Ravens have ever had, 3 of them have been January days with mid-60s temps?
  12. So I'm driving out of North Baltimore tomorrow morning to Boston. Need to be there by 3:30 p.m., preferably earlier. It usually takes about 6.5 hours, so I was thinking I'd just hit the road at 6 a.m., so that the sun's almost up, and I'd deal with any snow that I hit before it dissipates somewhere in New Jersey. Think that's still a viable plan? Kind of starting to wonder if I should wait until 8 or 9, and let the snow end before setting out. I have all-wheel drive.
  13. 37 in Towson, with one sad flake falling every minute or two amidst the light rain
  14. I lived in Vermont for 7 years. Locals considered it a cold morning if the inside of your nose immediately froze when you went outside, which kicked in at around -15. That is a sensation you’ll never forget after you feel it once
