  1. Need a “troll” icon somehow… for the posts that are fishing. Edit: That turd icon is hilarious .
  2. Yeah guess you are right. Normal for BDL is 79F… so 85F is solidly AN. Just noticed looking at the climate sheets that last year it says it was 95/69 today . Edit: Damn… what a stretch last year this time. BDL went 89/92/92/95/89 during this time.
  3. Interesting. I thought it looked like 70s on Wednesday, low 80s Thursday, then getting up to mid-80s for Friday... but guess that's splitting hairs at 3-5 degree differences. EURO, GFS and GGEM all look like 75-80F on Wednesday, then stepping up a tick each day after that.
  4. Did you just combine the two highest numbers on that graphic? If it ends up the low range for those 75-78F it’s probably pretty close to normal.
  5. Looks like a nice over-the-top pattern… usually a drier heat in that look. Could be a beautiful few weeks. I just came down from up top… we’ve warmed up to 38F at the top of the Gondola. I will say, seeing our lift operations staff in hats and gloves and winter-like clothing was a bit early for the time of year. I’m not ready to be actually cold. Not the type of cold DIT and Wiz talk about on summer nights when it’s 61F and they need a hoodie… today felt that real, actual cold up there. The type where you go inside to warm up with mid-30s and wind chills. Too early.
  6. We are still ticking down… 34F now. Should be bottoming out soon though.
  7. The guys on my porches grow to monstrous levels. When insects are plentiful, the spiders feast. Those things can have bodies an inch or more in diameter, just gorging on river valley insects along the open meadows.
  8. That FROPA means business. High of 76F and suddenly 54F and falling. Dropped 10F in under 30 minutes at one point.
  9. True, don’t need to worry about getting burned. I just wish we could keep the long daylight of the temps are elevated. No matter what, it’s basically inside by 7pm these days instead of 9:30pm.
  10. I’m prepared to not hit the posted speed limit on any road in VT for the next 4-5 weeks. Nothing gets me more irate than the 33mph in a 50mph when just trying to do daily activities .
  11. I’ve found the sun angle still doesn’t make it feel like summer. Heat and sunsets at 7pm just feels weird. No matter how we try to replicate summer in the autumn, it just feels like it falls short.
  12. Chilly shot coming in. As the upper low pivots just north of the international border, cooling aloft will allow temperatures approach or even drop below freezing across the High Peaks in northern NY, so should showers linger long enough, there could be a bit of slushy snow or perhaps rime by daybreak Sunday.
  13. Couldn’t come at a better time… “fantastic weather for being outside.” What a stretch coming up… and in progress.
  14. Ahh, thanks. Saw 7sm vis and wondered why it would be reduced.
  15. They definitely mix. Beer and chainsaws mix well to create some amazing content.
  16. I can’t even fathom multiple below normal months in the winter. Cold mins, cold maxes, whole thing. Feels impossible. Consistent legit fresh cold air masses… not rotting at a cloudy 28F for days on end and torching departures.
  17. What about top 5 or top 10? I have no idea, but interior was pretty damn hot in the means.
  18. Thats where I end up. I love snow and skiing and the mountain culture in winter. I hate the darkness. If I could get like April solar all winter long, I’d be in heaven. Even if it’s dreary out in April, it feels different. I’m always jealous of like Colorado or Utah mountain zones that have the latitude of like Washington D.C. for sun angle, while also seeing plenty of sun if it’s not snowing. Snow or sun is a great winter climo.
