  1. One of those things is not like the others. I agree the Gov't shouldn't mandate vaccine at all. Free choice. But if an airline wants to do it, you can choose to take your dollars elsewhere. Those three things are not the same.
  2. Yeah if they want you to shop with your right hand on your head the entire time you are in a store... or wear a red shirt to fly on a plane, the business can choose to do that. And the consumer can take their dollars elsewhere too. Vote with your wallet.
  3. I could've sworn I saw this yesterday in Hannafords up here. They have their supermarket buffet thingy's and salad bars all set up. Chicken wings, Olive bar. Etc.
  4. Yeah I figured it was pretty personal for you as I don’t know anyone as passionate as you to discuss COVID on a daily basis. There had to be something big at stake. Sorry dude.
  5. It’s entertainment for ratings. I just followed everyone’s advice last summer and stopped watching. Much better, ha. Some though just can’t stop... some seem to watch it just to get outraged, lol. It’s like, this makes you so miserable, why do you do it? Can’t stop watching the train wreck.
  6. The upslope should be fluffy on the peaks. The DGZ drops like 15,000ft down to 850mb for the upslope portion. Wind looks strong though so probably inhibits accums to an extent there. I’m thinking 4-8” for the ski area. Chance more at the picnic tables?
  7. Trying to thread a needle in the northern mountains. Drop these down with ratios but someone could get a plowable snowfall, especially 1,500ft.
  8. Ha yeah man, that's how vacation should be.
  9. How are you celebrating 4/20 today Phin?
  10. It's definitely more upsetting for the adults. Kids adapt to whatever. I don't have kids (yet?) but know when around my sister's kids (and she confirms they don't care one way or another) they have a very linear way of thinking about things. If I do xyz, then I can do abc. If I wear mask, I can play with friends. If I wear bike helmet, I can ride bike. If I eat my broccoli, I can watch my favorite show. If we are good in school, teacher rewards us with playtime. From what I've seen, her kids definitely are more focused on the desired outcome than what it takes to get there. Kids are awesome that way. Anyway, EURO still tries to keep the low eastward for at least a shot of a wintry outcome in parts of NNE.
  11. He said she was too young for him.
  12. Ah that makes sense. Their designation changes to “restaurant” with food and not “club.” I just always assume us socialists in VT had the strictest guidance and things seem pretty normal for a while, but yeah stuff like that is different. One positive here is you can still order cocktails to go, old liquor licenses never allowed for that, ha.
  13. Well I think up here the liquor licenses say you need to be able to offer some sort of food to serve booze (even a bag of pretzels) if someone wants it to dilute their drunk gut....that’s pre-COVID just basic license stuff... but you could just order booze without being required to buy a sandwich. I always just assumed VT was the strictest with this stuff, wife and I have been going to to get a drink once a week most of the winter. Interesting.
  14. Regarding the alcohol without food... have you had to order food to be served booze!? Like haven’t been able to just get a drink at a bar?
  15. I think it referenced a farming or gardening tools... you know at UVM, students loved their agricultural references.
  16. Snow before bros... though I think in college it was something different.
  17. That one gets pretty cold too, second half the Euro has 2m in the 20s at MVL. Starts mid-30s and immediately wet-bulbs to low 30s, then chills to 27F. We’ll see.
  18. Classic stuff with radar exploding into popcorn over the past 2-3 hours.
  19. Our theater in Stowe is one of the few with waitstaff... can order drinks, beer, etc during the movie which keeps some novelty to it. Like a bar that you watch a movie at. Surprised more don’t have a liquor license for serving in-movie.
  20. We did have a good storm in there but no where near the Whites, SVT, and Catskills. I remember snow front end then a bunch of rain everywhere but the summits up here? The stake did well. But at least locally the storm wasn’t enjoyed as much due to 12-18” followed by inches of rain mucking it up.
  21. That's how it works. Remember 2010 down in the mid-Atlantic? If it's epic down south, it's usually not up here. Wasn't that good of a year up north. Had to wait until late in the season to get our licks. But lo and behold the largest event of the season came on April 27-28. Snow cover lasted to May 1st. I think even BTV had 5.5" in the Banana Valley... a couple days before May. One of my favorite events, coming at the end of the season once again. Can see the trees leafing out too.
  22. Looks to be more cold air to work with north of the frontal boundary in the next event... and definitely behind the system. Some legit CAA at all levels. GFS continues to keep -6C at 850 as the coldest and -3C to -4C at 925F when the precip swings through. Then has a nice blast of cold air on the backside upslope flow. Nothing like -10C to BOS-BDL during the last week of April.
  23. It's how places get a high seasonal snowfall average... winter's like this will chip away at the deficits before they finally end. It's hard to get totally shut out... at some point it was going to snow. Just like getting big October or November snows. Like November 2018 was huge... snowier than months later that winter. Winter chances run October to May, this ain't the mid-Atlantic anymore where if it doesn't happen in the heart of winter it's over, ha.
  24. That's a wrap on the ski season at Stowe. This was 4pm right before last chair. Staff lining up cheering and fist bumping everyone on their final laps of the year. I was just rolling through making sure to get every single one a fist bump. Tons of hoots and hollers, like one giant party. d The Stowe closing day vibe is always awesome (as are most ski areas). The parking lot was one giant party. Dogs running around, grills going, beers flowing. Good stuff.
  25. Because that’s when it snows in Philly, NYC and SNE. We snow October/November and April/May .
