It has been absolutely brutal here. Please send rain
That’s wild. Wow only 0.11” in July?

84/55 and breezy.
Mid-50s dews feel dry after the low 70s the past couple days.

It’s definitely weird/hypocritical for winter weather enthusiasts to call out severe enthusiasts. Is there a moral high ground? Also, does it matter? Severe doesn’t happen because people enjoy it. We could all hope it never happens and it still would.
Honestly, more people probably die from high heat and humidity than from SVR or winter. Probably should stop wishing for hot temps in summer. I could get behind that one.

There might be some more severe chances coming up... with very hot/humid moisture rich environments intersecting with still a background fast flow (SW/W/NW) into New England as heights suppress in southern QC.

Sad news out of Maine. The severe threat seemed very well forecast by NWS and SPC, too. Just the wrong place at the wrong time, tragic. High-end heat and humidity, with some baggy heights moving through.
Been a very hot and humid stretch. It's high summer.

Absolutely nothing here today. We are in the warned area but nothing yet
Awful photo but here it was coming over the mountain. Had to brighten it up a bit.
No real wind, just torrential rainfall here now.

Man…Montreal must be the Canadian version of Oklahoma City
They do get a lot of thunderstorms up here. I feel like even here there are a lot of days I’m seeing stuff move across S.Quebec.
And if you’ve ever driven up there, it’s as flat as Oklahoma and huge miles long fields. Moisture pooling up the St Lawrence River Valley giving them a solid jolt.

It feels like thunderstorms if that’s a thing. Has this breezy, humid heat at the mountain that just feels like it wants to go boom.

No difference between up north and well south in terms of air mass. She’s a humid torch.
There was a band of water added to the low levels in the form of scattered storms in N/NW VT, the stations like Newport and Highgate that are usually featuring the lowest dews, are sitting 73F-76.
Its awesome to see the footprint of brief afternoon rains juicing the evening dews… cool to see the pockets of higher Td. It feels it.

Dew point of 72F at MVL. 75/72. Feels like a Dominican beach resort, but no where near as fun, ha. Windows fogging level reached.
Pretty sure that’s solidly the highest Td of the year.

0.19” rainfall. Just enough to dew the dew hard this evening.

The rain falling now is like an absolute steam bath. The rain droplets feel like hot tap water lol. Pure tropical.

And it’s raining. A couple claps of thunder.
This should do wonders for the humidity by injecting a little more moisture into the surface. One of those 0.05-0.10” that does nothing but steam off the pavement the minute it stops.

Just shot up 6F randomly… 84F to 90F in about 20 minutes.
Temp jumping around, must be differential heating with cloud cover.

Finally that A/C investment is getting some good use.

Feels very dry up here. Surprised still 60s dews even in CNE.
86/50 for 29% RH and solidly into Chamber status.
