    That’s fair. But when the ensemble mean is “green” in the general GL region, it screams to me that the ensembles are favoring low pressure in that area when we’d need the opposite. And with so many Ls up there vs so few near OBX, it makes me think a snowy solution here is unlikely. i hope I’m wrong.

    Those lows in the GL tell me all I need to know even with a cluster of Ls off OBX...no way we see a frozen event here with that look.

    Wisp has done a great job getting as many runs open this winter in spite of the horrid season so far. Solid winter day on the mountain today.

    Not much else to add but to say how awful this news is about Kobe and his daughter. I’m not a NBA fan but always thought he was a class act superstar. He’s gone way too soon and my heart breaks for his family, especially losing his daughter.

    Color me skeptical the GFS will be able to sort out those features at 5H perfectly a week out.

    It’s been shitty relatively speaking, no other way to describe it. We haven’t even hit 30” when the annual is 110”. Lake has yet to actually freeze...it came close this week though. However, I’m at less than 1” back at home so coming out here and getting 1-3” feels like a blizzard. I’ll come back here next weekend if the 18z GFS plays out that way.

    I had a few good bursts of snow showers here this afternoon...0.1” before it melted. It just started snowing again. NWS Pitt forecasting 1-2” for Canaan & Deep Creek...hopefully we boom so you’re able to get some good snows.

    Shift the low 50-75 miles east and it’d be a much better solution for the area. Verbatim its a west of 81 special. At least its something to track.

    500H is north through 84 on the 00z GFS. Would like to see that trending south vs the other way.
