Multiple snow events in Deep Creek last November....actually might have had more November snow than December snow there but I'm bad at remembering every detail of winter.
If that look persists into mid-October, it could easily lead to early flakes for the mountains. The later the month goes with that look, it opens the door for the far NW exurbs too (your area, etc).
Confirmed in Cecil and Harford counties, unfortunately. https://extension.umd.edu/hgic/topics/spotted-lanternfly
Anytime we’re hiking in Garrett County, I make a point to look for them - they are a disaster for the ecosystem.
Interesting map but its odd that counties in the upper Midwest bordering each other have January and July results. It'd make more sense if the months were close to each other.
56 for the high. 54/35 currently. Did a 4 mile hike in the southern part of Garrett county today — perfect fall day! Now time for a bourbon cocktail and get the fire pit going.
I’m sitting on the deck, in a hoodie, with pumpkins out and I’m drinking a spicy margarita. Odd choice of a HH cocktail given the weather but oh well.
HFHH!
I got the Davis Vantage Pro 2 about 2ish years ago and have been happy with it. The quality is very good but I do wish their interface & indoor screen/console were brought up to date. It’s pricey but IMO worth it.
