It seems like the shear will increase as he moves into the northern GOM which is good. Keep him from making landfall in central FL so the shear can weaken him.
Yep, agree. Things will move along quickly now. Tomorrow I’ll be putting away deck furniture in the shed, chopping wood and getting ready for that too (which I love). That and heading to Firewater for a few cocktails haha.
My sister in Central NJ is inundated too. They killed two trees in her front yard and her patio is covered in sooty mold from the honeydew they excrete.
Yes, the temps coupled with rain everyday that week made for a miserable week last December. It was one of those 1 every 10 year kind of horrendous stretches IMO. And I forgot about the Memorial Day weather.
Yeah agree or the dreaded cutter that dumps 3" of rain then flips back to cold/snowy. Two winters ago, there was a stretch of Christmas week through late February (ish) of solid snow on the ground. They can handle periods where the pattern flips to unfavorable but it can't last for weeks on end like it did last December which forced Wisp to eventually close the week between Christmas and New Years.
I’m feeling bullish on an above average year for the mountains. The analogs getting thrown around were mostly AN. It would be great for the ski resorts after last year’s disastrous December/start to the winter.
