Sun returns to end out the week before the next chance of showers Friday into Sunday. Chester County Records for today: High 99 degrees at Kennett Square (1917) / Low 48 degrees at Phoenixville (1956) / Rain 4.06" at Phoenixville (1971)

  3. As we have just passed Christmas in July....and for the many of you on Team Snow - why not list out all of the greatest annual snow seasons (October-April) on record across the Chester County NWS cooperative and trained spotter observation sites. That 1957-58 winter looks like the snow winner.
  4. Thanks Tip! Always enjoy your thoughts! Regarding the "cherry picker" comment - the reality is I use and show all of the available the actual raw NWS cooperative, automated and MADIS stations available for the County. I will usually ad in the NCEI adjusted data so we can see the difference in trend lines comparing the actual and the altered data for analysis. I of course cannot change the actual raw data.....those required NCEI adjustments will as they are today be handled later. As long as I continue to include the raw data without any omissions it will continue to be the furthest thing from "cherry picking" of data. With all do politeness.
  5. Warmest I could find in Western Chesco was the 85.5 over in Chester Springs - amazing how warm it is over there!
  6. I just never felt comfy with Kimbrel last year.....and of course in the playoffs.....
  7. My view in beautiful Sea Isle City NJ....not as much of a beach day as yesterday!

The refreshing highlands climate is quickly gaining a faithful following! Come on over before our little secret gets out!!!
  9. The below for the entire US sure looks a lot like Chester County PA - chill the past and warm the recent......
  10. that thread is only for Chester County specific....for US or worldwide climate debate I am still here!!
  11. The last 4 days have featured slightly below normal temps that should change as we head through the week. A bit unsettled weather wise this week but most days should see at least some sun. The best chances of rain look to be later tomorrow and Tuesday night...however we could see some showers at almost anytime between today and Wednesday. High temps not too far from normal to start the week - but some 90's possible by Thursday and Friday especially for lower spots in the county. Chester County records for today: High 101 degrees at Coatesville (1901) / Low 47 degrees also at Coatesville (1956) / Rain 3.97" at West Chester (1969)

  21. Climate alarmists claim we are observing more record high temperatures than ever before. However, the below analysis of 590 USHCN stations with at least 100-years of daily observations reveals that 60% of daily record high temperatures were in reality set before 1960. Of the top 20 years, only two have occurred in the last 65 years!. The top 20 years with the most daily record highs in the U.S.: 1936, 1934, 1931, 1939, 1925, 1930, 1933, 1911, 1953, 2012, 1921, 1954, 1927, 1910, 1918, 1950, 1990, 1947, 1938 and 1952. Just like at the local Chester County locations the hottest years were back in the 1930's....
  22. Is this the source of the 97% of scientists agree myth?
  23. One more cloudy day today before a great stretch of weather through at least Monday. Cooler starting tonight with some spots in Chester County possibly touching the 50's tonight and tomorrow night. Chester County records for today: High 100 degrees at Phoenixville (1930) / Low 47 degrees at Coatesville (1976) / Rain 5.17" at Nottingham (2021)
