  1. Excuse me kind sir, what time should I pick up the white owl and hazy ipa?
  2. Temps in Canaan yesterday were nice for being outside….mid upper 30s w 6” or so on the ground in the less sun exposed areas. Blackwater sled run was solid and crazy fast last night after temps went below freezing.
  3. Nice squall moving through Canaan right now.

  5. 83 is a cluster about 30 mins or so north of you.
  6. Don’t know which thread to throw this in now but for the weekend upslope crew.
  7. For anyone heading to snowshoe….from the Charleston office. This event will turn more into an upslope event by the overnight on Thursday. Besides snow, another potential hazard is going to be the wind gusts with the highest winds in the lowlands expected during the early morning hours and up to 35mph. The higher elevations will strengthen up to 45mph+ by the late evening and continue into late Thursday night. An advisory will likely be issued for this hazard across the highest elevations. Among the 1-2 inches forecast in the lowlands and 2-4+ inches (with higher amounts confined to the higher elevations up to 10 inches) possible particularly across the Webster/Randolph border on the western slopes near Snowshoe, an advisory is likely to be issued as well for this time frame. Any snow activity will continue into the next period with just upslope snow by Friday morning.
  8. This snippet from the late day Pittsburgh office disco is relevant to deep creek and Canaan for upslope. There is potential for additional headlines for this Thursday period in upslope locations where the above factors can aid to higher amounts, with current model means showing 3-5" with locally higher amounts. Will refrain from hazard issuance to maintain focus on Wednesday portion for now.
  9. No. Ji first stated it. WxUSAF, realizing there was potential, “accidentally” deleted Jis version and started his own. Or at least that’s what we’re going with.
  10. I’d agree. Some front end snow possible on the leading edge of the next system followed by slop and then back to snow w the upslope and possibly a bit more associated with another disturbance late Friday into Saturday. Guessing that the 7 valleys - Deep Creek - Canaan corridor gets 4-8 by the time things wind down. they also got a few inches today.
  11. We have entered cancel Hulu live season.
  12. Nice wintry day in the mountains. 219 just outside Davis/Thomas.
  13. Sure it’s possible but they played twice this year w a 1-1 split and a point differential of +3 in favor of Philly. That doesn’t scream pretty easily.
  14. Don’t you miss the old days? Tracking epic squalls w matt(?) in Davis, dc getting major snowstorms, etc. Everyone on here was happier those days.
  15. The Os are still a full season away from truly contending. The young pieces are finally coming into place and I trust Elias but they’re not contending this year. Wouldn’t be surprised if 2024 kicks off a fun 3-5 year run for them.
  16. Right…I believe the coaches are contractually obligated and that was a waste of time.
  17. Why was this thread needed when we already have banter, panic room, and futility threads?
  18. Outside of heli skiing in Alaska, it’s hard to beat little cottonwood canyon when they get locked into a good cycle. It just dumps there. Here’s a pretty cool article and vid on what it’s like to be there when they go into interlodge. https://www.alta.com/stories/interlodge
