33.3 was my low at Independent Hill Va with frost. Right on par with forecasted low. In Currituck NC presently right on the shore it was 37. Frost a mile or so inland from me.

Quite the contrast from last year. On this date 10/12/2017, last year, I had 34.8 in of precip for the year. This year, so far, 64.27. That's incredible.

Just went outside to collect some flying empty planters I forgot I had outside. Summer is officially over. What a refreshing air mass. It's actually chilly. Winds are probably gusting around 30 right now. I'm sure they will be some tree issues areas along 95 south and east.

3.97 at 10:50 and still rain overhead. I did not think any of us around here would get close to 4 in. Especially not me. I am the Giancarlo Stanton of tacking on useless stats. It never rains or snows when I need it to but I come through when there's not much on the line.

2.61 so far today. / 2 in in about 15 minutes a little while ago. As far as I'm concerned and where I am located, this storm is not a miss. Further north Maybe but not along I-95.

I was in my backyard earlier today and was overly surprised how wet and spongy it was. It's never been like this in my 7 years in this place. Now add another .90 and counting. I'm done. Uncle?

Amazing how our totals are nearly identical. I'm at 53.07. And reviewing and remembering the spread on how we got the rain was completely different. I received 1.95 from Flo.

I am in that line west of Dumfries and where that little spin up showed up north west of Stafford. Sky got really dark and wind picked up, gusted in the 20s... for about 30 seconds. Now it's bright and showery as before.

This is the longest summer ever. I think we had 2 days of cooler weather a week or so ago but I don't really remember. Its October in 2 weeks.

ILM gusted to 105. That's nasty. The Narrative on this thing is going to change 36 hours from now with all of the reports of severe inland and River flooding. That's the worst.

Currituck County NC (where I am at right now) cut off all alcohol sales yesterday at 7 a.m. It may run through Monday from what I understand. No problem at all here. I'm going back later to Woodbridge anyway and will return tomorrow with full provisions (including wife and dogs). We don't expect much more than 60 mile per hour winds and 4 to 6 inches of rain. Not a big deal. I was so surprised they cut off booze so quickly though.

Stalled front is cool. Best to be on the LEFT side of it. Driving down to my place in North Carolina the temperature on the car thermometer went up nearly 20 degrees into the low-90s just east of Richmond down to it Williamsburg for a while. I'm on the nasty humidity right now.
