I have flurries at best. Nothing accumulated since 8am. Bands to my east and west. Compacted down under 5.5. Total was 5.75. 1-2 more may be a stretch. We'll see. No complaints.
Yeah. Radar looks like poop. Skies are brightening. But....we should start to see some back building shortly. My bests snows were between 6 and 8 a.m. .
Radar is looking great. The next 6 hours is probably when we score our best. If it snows until 9 p.m. tomorrow this will be one of my favorite storms. It doesn't snow more than 10 or 12 hours in most cases here in the DMV
11:30 PM. 3.0 West Woodbridge. Very light snow currently, but will pick up soon. Just .75in over the last 2 hours. My chips are all in on phase 1 of this event. I still dont trust the coastal. Love this event though.
This....exactly. But it's legit snow now as well. Down to 30.2. Just starting to glaze pavement the last few minutes. Beautiful night. I suspect we will all get pulsed with lulls throughout the night until that main body of precipitation in Far Southwest Virginia and Tennessee can get here.
Finally light snow and a coating in Woodbridge. That enhanced area sw of DCA ain't much. I'm in it. But its been hopping over and missing eastern PW and Fairfax the past 2 hours.
Lived in Montclair for 17 years. Nothing prettier than a drive down Waterway during heavy snow. Unfortunately through the 90s and early 2000s all of the bradford pears they had in the median broke due to heavy snow or strong winds. They have been replaced with other more hearty trees but for time it was really unique.
