  1. Ha that's a cold airmass too in the lower levels that advects in.
  2. Kind of a weird evolution on the GFS, but some ensembles show this. Like a prolonged wind event with some pellets and drops on the coast.

  5. I think it's just December frustrations.
  6. I don’t think they happen as often as you think they do. It’s more like you get a 2-4” event and valley or coast gets little.
  7. A lot of the members seem closer to elbow of the Cape vs the op track.
  8. Yeah those storms don't come often. That wasn't just wet snow, it was coastal and fresh water flooding along with wind.

  11. I do think Jan and Feb will have some fun for us. I'm just bummed yet another December blows. Maybe the week after Christmas will help lift spirits. I'm still hopeful for something.
  12. Bent over by the PAC jet vs SE ridge. Thought we'd have some chances, but looks like nothing until after Christmas at the earliest.

  19. Yeah split flow, but enough PNA rise to help on the GEFS.
  20. Antecedent airmass is junk so it would also have to cold advect too as it intenisifies. Not a lot of wiggle room.
  21. Nice dong of a low there offshore.
  22. There is a Flutie Hail Mary Pass possible in that 19-22 window or so.
