    lol I doubt that. But soundings in almost all areas get close to 50kt potential. Some areas will exceed it.

    Pretty dynamic system. Whole area easily wind advisory imo based on soundings. I think HWW gusts in spots for sure.

    Well if I use the more longer term average instead of 30 Yr it’s about mid 40s. 30 yr is low 50s.

    I believe I had mid 40s for snow that winter. That feels like 14-15 after last two years.

    5-12’ incoming for the Sierra. Winter remains king out west.

    It was also a shitty pattern though so I don’t think luck would have helped much here. A combo of stronger Nino and strong pac jet. That caused no cold to be found prior to any storms. Some narrow exceptions like where Ray is and in CT.

    Put that shovel away and move on. Even here it pretty much comes down to relying on some well timed event post 3/15. I wouldn't wait 2+ weeks for that.

    There's a good 2-3 hr window post fropa for sure. Then it might perk up Thursday morning with daytime heating per soundings. Anytime you have near 50kts at 925 with CAA I'm intrigued. Also some strong gusts just away from immediate south coast ahead of roaring SW LLJ
