Wouldn't say it sucked. You had snow and a good week of solid cold after Christmas. You just missed out on the Christmas snow though so I get that.

2017 was not good by Brett snowfall wise.

19 was ok. 20 had the larger storm, but eviscerated a week later. But both were similar in snow numbers. Just a bit AN.

It's a high building in that supplies good low level cold, but verbatim the low is too far SE for most.

Ha that's a cold airmass too in the lower levels that advects in.

Kind of a weird evolution on the GFS, but some ensembles show this. Like a prolonged wind event with some pellets and drops on the coast.

I don’t think they happen as often as you think they do. It’s more like you get a 2-4” event and valley or coast gets little.

Yeah those storms don't come often. That wasn't just wet snow, it was coastal and fresh water flooding along with wind.

I have my daughter's Barbie dream house that I'm ready to kick through the uprights at Weymouth HS football field.

I do think Jan and Feb will have some fun for us. I'm just bummed yet another December blows. Maybe the week after Christmas will help lift spirits. I'm still hopeful for something.

Bent over by the PAC jet vs SE ridge. Thought we'd have some chances, but looks like nothing until after Christmas at the earliest.

This has the potential to be 2nd warmest December across the CONUS I think.

It is different from last year. I had more snow last year at this point.
