  1. In general yeah, but strong LLJ and that second low will probably have a max a little east too.
  2. 12z hrrr over NYC and ups the winds a bit especially CT.
  3. Things still look on track. It’s a toss up the week after Christmas, but certainly opportunities, especially in and up.
  4. If this low moves a little more west, then winds will be stronger. Certainly SE CT could do 60.
  5. Probably 40-50 there and most of CT I think. I honestly haven’t looked hard there…..maybe Ryan knows. But rain looks like an issue where you are to Ginxy. Strong LLJ converging with the land will bring some high totals just inland from the coast.
  6. There is that appendage with a meso low on it. Strongest winds east of it. That looks to go over RI and pretty much over me. Best winds will be east of that.
  7. Looks like a jog east on guidance. Winds more related to ern CT and especially RI and SE MA. Big rains CT as a result.
  8. Losing that and ticking it west helps with the wind. But yeah those are clown maps and likely wild.
  9. It’s got a SSE elongation that might prohibit best winds away from SE areas.
  10. I’ll take the under on that.
  11. Not sure if the philosophy changed, but BOX loves those ensemble probs for winds. But, right at the shore may have trouble getting uber gusts because of the inversion with cooler SSTs. I don’t know if those ensembles account for that. Those maps seem to hug the coast too much in these events. Usually best gusts are just away from the south coast shoreline.
  12. Still remains to be seen how inverted it is. There’s definitely going to be an inversion and I wouldn’t use the clown wind maps at all. But that’s a hell of a LLJ.
  13. Hrrr says days without power.
  14. Toasty Christmas on the Euro.
  15. It varies and changes, but the trend line is up.
  16. It’s been non existent in NAMR which is mostly due to Nino.
