Yeah Steve's -EPO can be great and all, but nothing like seeing a trough dig over the western high Plains. We know what that means, the kitchen sink many times. Maybe this year will be different in the Atlantic.
It is amazing how we can't buy a prolonged -NAO. And to think about what was thrown about in 2010. I heard some theories as to why we have had some -AO/-NAO summers...but the whole sea ice argument only mildly seems plausible to me.
That was me cutting into the snow since my blower couldn't handle it. The joke was that I was somehow angry...but lets be honest...how can you be mad at that? Man....the memories.
I mean yeah if a line formed I suppose it wouldn't be a shock. Just seems like the gravy train is NW for awhile. Eventually something will form and move east, just unsure how much survives. S/W timing does look to help.
The forcing though is more in those areas I mentioned. Not sure much survives SE of ORH-BDL. Maybe a renegade cell or two? Perhaps evening has a chance.
