  1. A weather forum with life advice. All we need is Tip’s point of view.
  2. Oaks starting to drop here, but will be awhile. Even mid November snow last year, I had a carpet of brown leaves over the snow. And that was a cold late Oct/Early Nov. Fully expect Fall cleanup to last into December this year.
  3. That is your classic I-95 line. I’m due for that.
  4. I actually think that’s a great thing to see. Some of you may want to rush it in, but this is exponentially better to see compared to a black hole near AK. Get the source region cold.
  5. Classic more -PNA look though. Euro was showing that too, but pushed back a tad. The pattern overall will favor Plains cold for awhile.
  6. It's some sort of black beetle. Just hope it doesn't get invaded with borers. As far as the nest goes, fox and coyote are prevalent here too. Something had to dig pretty far down through the ledge. Nice to see nature take care of my problem.
  7. It’s like a Birving is on a scorched Earth tour. Was bullied by cold weenies when he was younger and taking out his anger now.
  8. Amazing what an effect that has, isn't it? LOL. But yeah...I've enjoyed it. My type of seasons in seasons. Oaks are dropping and the next few weeks will be a mess.
  9. LOL, both are puzzling to me. Maybe Tammy can help with the black beetle question.
  10. Outside of the first couple of days of November, looks like it will be a cool first half. October will be AN, but I'd say it's been a nice month temp wise for sure. Keeping the energy bills in check.
  11. And I thought the 6z GFS would be like a peace pipe in here.
  12. Two things. 1) I’ve seen these black beetles on oaks. Anybody have any idea on those? 2) my massive underground bees nest looked to be dug up by something. This was down in an area of ledge, but it still got it. Wonder what it could be?
  13. Well our climo isn’t wire to wire snow, but agreed....let’s hope for weeks of it.
  14. That looked like a classic congrats PF a few days earlier. I admit, I was annoyed a bit at last winter, but that storm was one of the most intense 3 hr blitz of snow I can recall. But, here’s another funny twist. The storms we did get sort of overachieved just a tad. There are about 3-4 in addition to the March 4th storm that I thought 2-3” and got 4-5”. Obviously nothing to write home about, but you get it.
  15. Let’s just have a nice December for once. Torch it to T-day as far as I’m concerned.
  16. Well a big part of that, is the area. Nobody will react to Bison covered in snow in late October.
  17. Some of those temps out west has to be near or at record levels. You're talking possibly U10s for highs and below 0 at night in late October. And not just some elevated valley at 10,000ft either.
  18. Perhaps if I am looking at storm potential or trends, but overall your forecast skill will go down if you blend in the GFS.
