  1. It's basically a follow up wave that is tapping into a temp gradient that exists in the mid levels of the atmosphere. The original low does not sweep the gradient offshore from deep cold air advection.
  2. You do have a negatively tilted H5 trough which is a must for these.
  3. Actually 6z EPS had it and now euro is most aggressive LOL.
  4. Well nothing is 0% this far out, but I'd say liquid is a greater concern vs a whiff.
  5. He might have misinterpreted what I said then. I was stating what the euro had or what the potential was, when he made that comment. No complaints this early in the season. Hopefully next weekend doesn't cut.
  6. I'm not a QPF Queen though. There is only one Queen in that land. The only Queens are the ones that don't want to hear about unfavorable patterns.
  7. Radar looks good for HV. Some decent banding so perhaps just over the border can grab 2-3. Congrats dendrite.
  8. No there was papers on that last year. Had to do with height of tropopause IIRC down in equatorial regions.
  9. There probably will be one, I just did not see it this early. In any case, whatever happens this week, it looks fairly active after the 15th too.
  10. Are you suggesting immediate effects of the SSW? It looks to me like the vortex at 50mb starts to get punched around a bit at the end of the EPS, so more than likely maybe January something happens. I don't understand why twitter mets will all abuzz of a SSW in December. At least to me, I didn't see evidence of it. The latest talk from fraud Judah was how he is using the polar vortex (not even the tropospheric version) on the GFS to help determine cold shots. I don't understand how that is a good metric for this. There is no immediate response, because you cannot permeate what is virtually a physical boundary between the stratosphere and troposphere.
  11. Pray the gfs suite of guidance is correct next week.
  12. Usually, because hoping for those to work out means you end up getting.....well......
  13. We bear. LOL. To Snow88 note, eps looks like it may have the anafrontal thing at hr 144.
  14. He’s a Twitter Met. He’s good met though, knows his stuff.
  15. Yeah we all cook. No bitchy. Just telling it how it is. Of course up there they’ll be wedgy probably for awhile.
  16. Except for possibly a week where the major East Coast population centers could be quite warm at times.
