You guys are nuts..lol. It's a fine day...but when people start saying things like holding promises for storms 8 days out, it just leads to more weenie whining when it doesn't happen.

Nothing holds promise past 7 days out when it comes to storms.

The SSW is more like a displacement. It is legit, but I'm not sure how it will effect the troposphere.

I definitely wouldn't rule something out prior, just the overall look. It's quite possible something sneaks in before 1/15. I think for me personally, I look forward to after the 12-15th or so.

Long range looks just fine to me. Like I said, just don’t expect 2011 and 2015.

It’s apples to oranges when you are nailing down Synoptics for a snow event vs a hemispheric outlook.

Back to more of a trough in Davis straits. That lasted long lol.

Basically the trend has been less Davis straits ridging and better PNA on last few days of modeling.

EPS going for more Greenland ridging after day 10 and losing Davis Straits block. Also has a good Pacific. Seems like a good combo for getting some cold and winter weather in here.

That wasn’t widespread 20+. More like 12-18 with a few lolli’s higher I think. Also that storm wasn’t cold really. Temps like 25-30 in many areas to start.

Even as depicted, it looked like colder air was moving in. You could see that at the end of the euro op. I think it looks fine as far as temps go.

Right if it happens, sweet. But I think many expect those results when we talk about things looking good. I’m just saying that we shouldn’t always expect those kind of seasons when we say things look favorable.

It looks fine. Big ridge out west. Cold will be enough. You don’t need Arctic air.
