    Monday could be first real cold day with the rain. 40s interior? That might be when the magical Weenius Kevineous (Kevin Caterpillar) comes out of his bald chrysalis and turns into a winter moth.

    Foliage is variable. The oaks are still fairly green, then you have some bare maples and colorful maples. In in all, foliage season hasn't been good over the last several years it seems. We have had a lot of dry summers since 2013. Must be Tippy's Hadley Cell getting ready to gobble us up like Pac Man.

    Up to the lakes region tomorrow. Looks like good foliage around the lake.

    It’s nice. Normally this is one of the most green times of the year, but the drought hasn’t helped. I’ll enjoy it as much as I can given the current situation.

    Back to 70s and outdoor dining tomorrow. I don’t know........just want to prolong the nice weather as much as I can.

    Yeah some areas in town they are saying Saturday morning. I think before that though.

    What did I call? I just said they show rain. Probably a couple of shots within next 10 days or so. You greedy savages want like 5” at a time. It probably won’t work like that.

    It takes into account long term conditions. So, if you are still low in the yearly precip department, it will show you in a certain category. But, you are right in that it won't pick up on mesoscale stuff. If some town got 5" of rain from a stalled tstm, that graphic won't show it.

    I've seen them hoist watches though when the line gets going. I guess I'm surprised they did not.

    How could the SPC not even have watches out when this got going in NY state. They are useless with northeast severe. I never even look to see what they have, you can figure it out on your own. They had a marginal risk in the morning and then upgraded last minute. I can't totally fault them for that, but I don't understand why no watches.

    Strange though how localized it was. Two legit swaths with less than 1 mile.

    That first pic is an 80'+ maple into the house. That is only several houses down.
