Well one can argue pessimism is more realistic vs optimism, if you believe long range models and forecasts for the season. If you want optimism 24/7, you can always strap on your footie pajamas and log onto accuweather forums. Most mets on here give their honest thoughts. If you want to follow them and weed out the noise, I’d suggest doing that.

Also, that post may be optimism for some too. Optimism is subjective.

Optimism is fine, but that can be weenieism too. It’s important to note the difference.

I wonder if you rip good winds from the E or NE too. You have a similar wind issue that I have when it comes to measuring. It’s tough.

It’s possible it’s very little snow and more ZR or IP too. I don’t really know that area well other than passing through several times on my way to Errol for a canoe trip.

An interesting day for you. I’m curious to see if you can hold onto the snow for a little while with ESE flow banking up against mtns and keeping it locally cooler. You’ll flip eventually, but this may be a setup to test how you keep in the cold.

I’ll take 16-17 despite the pack never surviving. Two great storms and another one that was epic for deep interior.
