  1. NPAC changes on the ensembles and the weeklies try to show this too later in November. I would not call it Snowvember, but changes on the guidance.
  2. I think 10+ years ago I would be aggravated. But, this weather has been great. Plenty of mild days and cool nights for sleeping. I have not put the heat on yet, so a break in utilities is appreciated. It's great to continue the outdoor scene too. Great wx for hikes, BBQs, outdoor eating.....whatever.
  3. May be too cold in January, but Fescueary follows.
  4. It was windy for about 3 days prior to when the actual storm hit. Constant NE winds 30-40 or so. When the storm did hit, I remember some limbs down and a large white pine across the street that snapped. Friend of our family lived on the water in Marshfield. She came home to her house literally as an outer shell of itself. The wave action ripped the house down to the outer wall. Her washer and dryer were in a salt water marsh across the street. Lots of houses were rebuilt and put on stilts after that storm. It's a good thing, because the recent storms since 2010 really would have been devastating if the codes weren't changed.
  5. See I was thinking maybe that is more indicative of the pattern vs CC. IOW, NOAA expects more SE ridging, storms cutting close by us. If that makes any sense.
  6. Yeah definitely. But I mean an orange shade over us and the word "mild" lol. That's not telling me a whole lot anyways.
  7. Plenty of time as we head into Mowvember.
  8. I have a rain gauge that is away from anything that could affect it. I typically report that. On windy days or extremely heavy rain, my Davis has under catch.
  9. The graphic doesn't tell me much. Define "mild". Most winters now are AN anyways. I think more care about snow.
  10. Yeah it was the last year at least where I noticed it seemed high.
  11. Because if it’s properly vented it shouldn’t have 3-4+F biases just because of sunlight. That’s why people have fan aspirated sensors. It removes the bias you get from solar radiation. You always may have some, but there should not be that much of a difference from your reading and KTAN.
  12. That’s quite the disparity. No wonder why KTAN seems warm.
  13. I feel more at ease when Judah and the CFS try to cancel winter. #heavyheavysnow
  14. Plants still thriving except for the usual suspects like Hosta which start to die out regardless of temps. But, Lawntober continues. What a day.
  15. Will be chilly Sunday-Tuesday. If we cstl, then much cooler beyond Tuesday. That is to be determined.
  16. My oaks are green, but starting to turn and slowly drop leaves. Maples are near peak or have peaked and dropping.
