That can happen. A difference of 1000’ in a well mixed atmosphere can mean sometimes almost 10 degree difference. The dew points made the difference a bit less but still 6-8 degree difference

The 90s and early 00s were great for storms. I remember the Aug cell. I was in Marshfield. Thing was a beast.
