    That’s just another attn grabbing headline. We know solar matters little there and it’s driven by WAA. Just like we break records at night from that with those cutters. I didn’t see this 5 month stat. We’re warming, but let’s put things into context too. Anchorage also had a frigid period in the winter and spring 2021.

    They had some all time cold in AK setting records too in November. So cold that those temps would be too 10 cold even in December. And Denali record snow. It’s not all warmth either.

    EPS really started looking good at the end. A compromise even would be great.

    It's ok. It doesn't have much if an effect on the pattern. A lobe or s/w trough really.

    I don't mind the EPS..maybe clipper-ish? Has a decent ridge out west and a mean placement of surface high pressure north of New England.

    I went and looked at the GEFS. They take the southern s/w and sharpen it, while the nrn stream s/w sort of lifts out enough for the heights to buckle. I can't really get excited when it's the only guidance showing this so far.

    The warmth was IMO not really in question. I mean yeah, it's likely warmer than many thought, but I don't feel it ever had a cold look. I guess for me, it's the lack of precip from systems like SWFE. That I did not anticipate back earlier in the month.
