I had never heard of Drione so I went to their FAQ page. It will kill bees and hornet's but not yellow jackets and its harmful to birds.

an alternative use Tempo 1% dust.
Oh yes, If they protect the queen in an underground tunnel spray wont work. Gas it is the only permanent solution I have found. Even isopropyl works great
