  1. Can't use 10:1 in this setup, though. Kuchera maps would be closer to verifying, if it plays out as depicted. No one's going to see 10:1 ratios, especially the lower elevations.
  2. Ah, 309. I go over the Blue on 309 six to eight times per shift running my spring water loads. It's going to be a fun morning if it happens.
  3. Bad posting in the politics OT forum. Not sure though if he was suspended, banned, or just quit.
  4. Umm... Thursday Night Rain likely before 10pm, then rain and snow likely between 10pm and 4am, then a chance of snow after 4am. Cloudy, with a low around 31. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
  5. Perhaps a little ice on Friday morning? Thursday Night A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
  6. I would be perfectly happy if every day in the winter was just like this one. A bit frosty in the morning and near 60 in the afternoon. I may be a heat miser, but this is just fine with me for the cooler months.
  7. Nope. Once I deliver in Sunbury, the fastest (but not the shortest mileage wise) is to run US11 to Danville and then 80 east to 81 south to get home.
  8. Interesting temperature variations this morning. Here in Tamaqua it's currently 37 degrees. Out in Sunbury, it's anywhere from 28-32 on the PWS's in the area. I looked because we had to drop a trailer out in Sunbury yesterday. I broke down on my first load of the day (blew a radiator hose while climbing the Blue Mountain) which put me 2 hours behind schedule. By the time I got to our Sunbury customer, they closed shop and went home. Rather than drag the load back home than back up there again this morning, it was dropped and I bobtailed home. Today's driver will bobtail back to unload it and continue on his day. Now, the load itself won't freeze, but the outlet valve might.
  9. I see how you are. You just want a free load of water...lol
  10. I'm still waiting to see them in Downtown Pillow as I drive through...
  11. Very light rain here, but close to a little icing event. Got down to 34 on my Jeep thermometer going in to work this early morning.
  12. 51 degree nooners after a low of 26 this morning.
  13. Do you mean football, or an actual turkey bowl as in bowling. WZZO, the rock station in Allentown, used to hold a literal turkey bowl, where they drilled holes in frozen turkeys and set up pins and a makeshift lane in their parking lot.
  14. I agree. I like my winter holidays Thanksgiving/Christmas at least overcast and cool. Typically though, we see rain on the summer holidays and bright, sunny skies on the winter ones...
  15. @mahantango#1 I'm going to be Sunbury bound later this week and the beginning of next week. I expect a red carpet out on the main drag through Pillow on Thursday morning...
  16. Got this one in Allentown while delivering my second water load.
  17. Classic example of clickbait. It got me too. Saw the headline about Las Vegas snow only to find out it was in normally snowy Las Vegas, NM. They conveniently left out the state to get people to click the link...
  18. My gauge is showing 0.01". At least it's moisture to tamp down the fire danger. I'm sure some heavier stuff will move in later. At least I hope so.
  19. I could handle a winter like that. Let it snow like a MF'er, then bring on spring...lol
  20. Low was 29.6 sometime overnight, but now, at 4:45am it's up to 31.6
  21. It truly feels like a mid summer night outside right now. Complete with chirping crickets.
