  1. I know you guys are kidding and take it all as good fun. If Snedeker is right, though, I just might see that 10 inch total...lol Seriously though, my feeling and thinking is 3-6 at best for my backyard. If we stayed all snow, double digits might be possible, but I think we flip at some point.
  2. WNEP 16 is being EXTREMELY bullish with their forecast this morning. Double digits for all. Not sure I buy it, but these guys are usually quite conservative, so not sure what they're seeing.
  3. I think there will be LOTS of taint even up my way (825' elevation) and that the best snows are going to be north and west of my location and up in the Hazleton/McAdoo area northeast through the Pocono Plateau. These are just MY thoughts, and are in no way a forecast or meant to be taken any other way scientifically...

  6. I have to go out to Phoenix as my mother needs help with things. If I can figure out/manage to stay out there until April, then it will be a fun winter. If not, then NASO much...
  7. I thought you were doing a play on words, but it certainly is appropriate.
  8. There are no official records or recording data for Tamaqua PA, Don, but so far today I have 0.68" in the gauge for a yearly total for this year of 66.14".
  9. 1.31" from this latest event which puts my yearly total (so far) at 65.46".
  10. I was starting to think we were going to enter drought conditions...dodged a bullet I think...
  11. I was, and it is...lol. But they have a Walmart, and a big plant (Kaytee) where I picked up bird seed.
  12. Per the USGS site (I'm not home yet) approximately 1.90" for yesterday in Tamaqua...
  13. I'm in Wisconsin right now, but it looks like another 1.40" or so at my house per the USGS gauge. What a crazy wet year. I'm pushing 65 inches so far and there's still just shy of two months to go.
  14. Heading to Chicago from Lancaster and it was 77 in the Laurels this afternoon. Hit rain at the 13 mile marker on the PA Turnpike, and by the time I got past Youngstown it was down to 48.
  15. Cool! I kinda liked Houston. Boy was it wet down there, though. I walked in the grass at the elementary school and it was oozing water around my shoes.
  16. I know. But hey, we need the rain. It hasn't rained in what? Two days? Things are starting to dry out...
  17. Tonight I find myself spending the night at the Bloomsbury TA truckstop in New Jersey. The irony of this is that seven years ago today I spent the night at this very same truckstop. The next day we got our largest October snowfall ever. (October 29th)...
  18. It can assure that it won't be me...lol. I just had a glorious 4 day run south to Florida. It was 90+ degrees for three of them... Sure. Next time we have a normal April with no snowstorms...
  19. 58.74" in my bucket for the year so far. Should be quite easy to top 60 inches, and if the pattern holds, perhaps 65 inches by Dec 31st.
  20. Went to my grandson's fall baseball game tonight, and between the wind and the damp, raw temperature, I damn near froze...yuk.
