  1. I swear, if I see any posts saying "we need rain" I'm gonna hunt you all down and
  2. All I know is that it's chilly this morning. I have no weather station readings at the moment. I had to cut power to the house as I had water in the breaker box. The Ambient Weather monitor doesn't have a battery back-up.
  3. Well, my last rain measurement was 5.77". It will be my final measurent although we may have gotten a tenth or so more. I had shut the power off to the house, thus shutting down my inside weather station unit. Our breaker box was dripping water as I believe the outside weather cap sealing off the main line coming into the house was leaking. Didn't want and don't need a short circuit and/or a fire.
  4. 4.21 so far in Tamaqua. Made it to Allentown. Now not sure if I can get back to our yard to park the truck for the night.
  5. It showed as open. Now it's closed. At Exit 100... Guess I'll be going through Pine Grove.
  6. Google Maps showing its open now. Don't really want to run anymore back roads if can help it...
  7. Any reason why (or if) I81 southbound is closed at the I78 interchange?
  8. 2.83" now in the Tamaqua home gauge. Each time I drove my route from TC to Sunbury, the streams were higher and the runoff stronger. Pillow is soggy and needs to be wrung out...lol
  9. 1.44" in the gauge in Tamaqua. Pouring rain in Tower City right now. Most significant stream flows and yard ponding were up, ironically, from just south of Pillow to Sunbury.
  10. 0.47" as of 7:45am. I'm in Tower City right now loading, and rain is light to moderate at times. I guess I'll see how the day progresses.
  11. I figured that stretch of road was prone to flooding. Not much elevation above or real estate between the road and the creek. I have to go through there 5 times tomorrow. Two up loaded and three back empty. Usually it's only three runs through there, but my last load which always goes to Allentown will be coming from Tower City instead of Hazleton.
  12. I think I'm on the southern and eastern edge of it. I'm doing my Thursday Tower City to Sunbury tomorrow. I'll have to give Pillow reports. Just wondering how fast that little creek south of town along 225 rises during heavy events. And of more concern is 147 up between Mandata and Herndon.
  13. At the moment, I'm liking where I sit. I'm actually off on Thursday for an MRI, so I won't be trying to find new routes to Sunbury, unless there is residual flooding and debris on Friday morning.
  14. I hope you are both wrong. I want an epic event for once...
  15. Just like winter. Hook you in and give you hope and then, boom. Fringe job. Let's hope, as in winter, they trend back north...
  16. See...even the NWS gets it. Look how they painted the 4-6 inch gradient AROUND Schuylkill County. There is ALWAYS a dip in qpf here.. Somehow, my location always ends up getting the shaft...
  17. Thanks. Looks like it's going to be a wild ride for some/most of PA from this one.
  18. I don't have off hour Euro access. What's the qpf look like for central and eastern PA?
