It's interesting. There's ice on my fence rails, the powerlines, the parked cars, and even one small icicle on each wind cup on my weather station, yet my temp is reading 32.7 right now. How is there active freezing rain at a nearly 33 degree temperature?
Hey, I went through Danville about 3pm... Anyway, as best as I could figure, no one north of 78 or east of the Susquehanna got anything. Even snowy Hazleton had bare grass.
Roads just wet from Tower City to Sunbury. Even the grassy areas aren't white. Some shady gravel driveways had a coating, but otherwise no "stickage" at all in travels.
Some said they saw lightning and heard thunder. If I can figure out a way to share my wife's cousin's video from last night in Weatherly (Carbon County) she showed a pretty heavy burst of snow when she recorded it.
According to multiple Facebook reports, the snow last night included lightning and thunder. Folks in Shenandoah, Frackville, and Girardville claimed to have seen and/or heard it.
Ugh...and I have to do three Tower City to Sunbury loads (usually only do two per day) to make up for the missed ones this week. If we get any kind of accumulating snow, it's going to make for a long ass day for me...
Thanks! It looks nice for Christmas, but it should have come one day later. At least my daughter (she was a Christmas Eve baby) has a white birthday...
The view from my back bedroom (office) window.
I'm not native. I was born and raised in Bethlehem, but as far as I know, Skook is a duel definition. Like, "oh, he's from the Skook", or "he's a Skook".
I just call 'em all coalcrackers...lol
I believe it was, as well as a quick drop below freezing. 309 was just wet from Tamaqua south to the 443 Leiby Restaurant intersection, and from there on, it was a sheet of ice.
