  1. 2.5” and has been under 33 degrees all morning great call!
  2. it's close, you want soil temps above 50. usually forsythia blooms are a good indicator of when it is time-but keep in mind shady areas need more time (and you really don't want cold nights)
  3. yesterday afternoon turned out OK, was able to get a little yard work done that said, this weather sucks ass. Aside from a couple tiger lilies poking up, not much is happening spring-wise. The red maples have the usual red buds, but those take 2 months to open up.
  4. rotting at 45 here. Still waiting for the 60+ that the pope-a-wheelie promised
  5. DIT just got 2.5" of accretion in his dungarees.
  6. I’m flying into MHT Saturday night. how screwed am I regarding zr?
  7. Probably along the I-84 Bermuda Triangle near @Damage In Tolland where all the people end up getting in accidents.
  8. I would like to remind you to please stay safe.
  9. I ski locally in southern NH at Pats Peak. the last 3 years: -2024/2025: 12/13 (I missed opening day by a few days) to present (I think they will close after this week) -2023/2024: 12/1 (opening day) to 3/22 (closed a couple days later -2022/2023: unsure of opening day, but it was sometime in January, to 3/22 Very consistent opening and closing dates regardless of what the Pope spouts
  10. jesus christ man, you are such an all-knowing blow hard. the ski season was actually pretty damn good. how many times did you get out this year?
  11. 65/57 here. Yard is about 90% clear of snow. @dendrite for the loss
  12. it is really early to be seeing any green grass, except maybe SW CT. your soil is still pretty cold I would think
  13. oh boy, I can't wait to see the DIT or 40/70 edits on this one.
  14. he is busy doing donuts in the snowpack at @tunafish's yard
  15. yup for sure. sunny spots in my yard are bare, but those are small areas. shady/wooded spots have more, obviously
  16. As disappointing as this winter was, i have to go with a C+ (maybe closer to B-, but whatever) -late start, with another New Year grinch storm. pretty dam good middle, the stretch from 1/11 to 3/4 had no rainers, which is unusual. Poor ending, melt started on 3/4 -good pack retention, had snow on the ground from 1/11 through at least 3/10. Also had good depth, with around 18-20" at the peak (currently between 4-6") -good cold air, nothing crazy and no records or anything, but it was consistently cold from 1/1 to 3/4
  17. pretty breezy here. Lost power an hour ago, it came back on as I was putting gas in the generator. now I gotta drain it again
