  1. Another backwards day ASH/MHT 77 CON/1P1/LCI 79 LEB/HIE 81 BML 82
  2. b2b 100F days just north of BGR.
  3. 48° here. We usually pop 40s in July so we’ll probably see that again before Sep.
  4. Trying to hold off on AC up here. The nights don’t look too bad until maybe early next week.
  5. Reminds me of my time in SW FL in the rainy season. Wake up to clear skies, get your nape tan on by 10-11am, then storm by 1-2pm. Rinse, repeat.
  6. Enjoy it while it lasts. I can't remember the last time NNE has consistently outperformed SNE in heat for this long of a stretch this time of year. When it happens it's usually in April or May before leaf out and when SNE is dealing with maritime influence.
  7. It has some convectively cooled temps. Good luck.
  8. NNE... Winter cold...check Winter snow...check Spring snow...check No drought...check Summer warmth...check No people...check No COVID...check
  9. Anyone know how well white clover will grow in very sandy soil? I was thinking of overseeding parts of the front with it to fix some nitrogen in the soil. We've had some areas of topsoil almost completely erode out there, but I'm not doing a big fix. I figure the clover will double as a forage for the chickens.
  10. BML 70 and LEB 73. Should be some interesting May/June anomalies across our region when all is said and done. Ginxy needs to post his 30 day maps after this week.
  11. Tries to pop some convection over SNE Sat. Those 2m temps are rain cooled, but it's very dewy.
  12. It feels wrong talking about impending big heat without DIT around. Why did delicate in tolland leave the board this time?
  13. And then they try to sell you vegetarian raised meat and eggs at the store. If my birds didn’t get some worms and bugs they’d be eating each other.
  14. Mine are like mini t-rexes with colorful feathers.
  15. We had a hummer hit the window a couple years ago and was stunned on the ground. Unfortunately a chicken got it before I could get to it. When I stopped her the eyes were poked out so I let her finish it off. Circle of life.
  16. Yeah we do get a few thrushes too.
  17. Haven't noticed even one yet and we normally average a few each warm season. Is it mostly one species? My windows always seem to take out nuthatches.
  18. Euro backed way off on that BD idea.
  19. I love when we torch around the solstice. Warm breezes and the twilight seems to last forever.
  20. Sunrises start getting later after tomorrow.
