  1. I guess in his defense we have a trough at H5 and BN 850s. Of course in April that can translate to near normal at the surface with enough sun.
  2. I have a pellet stove upstairs, but I like using the furnace because it heats the basement and warms the floors upstairs. My ash vac rusted out and I tossed it last fall so I'd need to buy a new one to use it too. I haven't cranked that pellet stove up in like 5 years. The pipe is probably full of creosote so I'd want a really cold day so I can run it really hot. It probably wouldn't be bad to run to supplement the oil use...especially during the day when we're on that side of the house more.
  3. Oi! Oi! Oi! Oi! Oi! Oi! Ain't got no snow Ain't got no cold But you can start a storm 'Cause I've got MJO! I feel alright MJO! It'll win the fight MJO! Don't care what the models show MJO! MJO will make it snowwwww
  4. There's a lot of water in the pack up here. I'd take a core, but I wouldn't be able to get the can through it. This will be me going out to my run in a month.
  5. Guess I wasn’t clear enough that I was implying here.
  6. Mud season was long gone by that warm wave. All of the sun's energy went toward heating the ground with no evaporational, melting, or sublimational cooling. I can't remember that ever happening that early up here before. 1945 was close but a couple weeks later than 2012.
  7. Some gas stations around here carry it…lots of campers.
  8. OK...I need a few days of backup fuel until my #2 oil comes next Monday... Anyone have the pros and cons of diesel vs kerosene? Diesel is cheaper, easier to get at the gas station, but I assume dirtier? Just curious.
  9. That'll be in Littleton near the VT border. Phin will get the dollar store trifecta of Dollar General, Family Dollar, and Dollar Tree.
  10. Phin will have a Wal-Mart across the street in 30 years.
  11. Just looked up the daily normals versus the daily calculated means for the 30 year period.
  12. I’m not positive how it works. Because they have to fit the data for daily normals as well so it’s smoothed. Maybe snowfall isn’t included in that.
  13. Either that or they exclude sites with too much missing data from getting normals.
  14. That’s not a calculated average. That’s a NOAA derived official 30 year normal. I don’t think they’re necessarily the same values?
