its snowing here in NE GA! we have a dusting and the ground is white. its sloppy though at 32 lol

That’s a great snowfall! Between 5.5 - 6” here. Considering it was nothing earlier in the week I was pleasantly surprised. We had several bands that were pumping out the snow. You know over the years I do believe your threads usually end up with a decent snow here in na ga lol it’s crazy. i feel for those in Raleigh - as I am sure a lot of us do. Living in the SE we have all experienced the dreaded dry slot or complete fail in what looked to be a great storm initially. It is so hard to go through that while there is snow all around you.

After that last band it’s just under 5.5”

The rates have picked up again here - I am in the south part of the county and this band is moving from the north. I have just over 4” now so if he is a bit north it is possible. Also I see all the wind reports but so far very little wind imby

Heavier snow has let up but it’s still coming down. 3” and counting!

No wind here either at the moment - it is snowing at a really good clip. It’s awesome when those bands move through!

I can see you are now in winder! I lived in MN a while. The snow was great but after growing up in GA the cold was brutal. Haven’t seen anything hitting the ground but temp is down to 39. I am in habersham county just next to Rabun

After seeing the damage from the inch in Mississippi I am glad we didn’t end up getting g hit with that. While not “historic” imby it was still a pretty good winter storm and lasted quite a while.

The back edge is almost here! Ended up getting zr all afternoon (I think the hrrr showed this?) about .4” ice on top of the sleet from last night. Power has managed to stay on here - a lot in the county are out

I hope so too - it’s going to be super cold. Habersham is faring pretty well with just a few spotty outages right now

Same in athens per my sister. It’s hard to tell just how much here - maybe about .3? The tree limbs are really leaning over now

It’s crazy that it was sleet near atl and athens and freezing rain here. That last batch added a fair amount of ice - fortunately no wind hardly at all

The precip just arrived. Currently it’s freezing rain and 27. From the sleet reports west of here in the heavier bands I would guess it would be sleet here. I can’t see .5” days ice here at this point

Woke up and looked out the window - heavy sleet mixed with ZR and tiny flakes. It’s 23. It’s pouring

There is a bit of mist, if we could get some precip it would be frozen. Temp is down to 27

Light rain just started - the temp is down to 33

34/15 - nothing falling here right now
