Have you tried cleaning the contacts? The gold looking thingies on your lens connect to the gold looking thingies in your camera body. Make sure none of them are stuck in the down position. On your lens, take a lens cloth and swipe the gold thingies from an inward to outward motion. Start closest to your body and swipe away. Clean them really good. Some people say to use an eraser or wd 40 to clean them. I've only tried the lens cloth and it worked for me. I hope it works for you P.S. Yasssssssss!!
